Did they fight 263 times and she never took it seriously, or is he holding back so much now that she isn't hostile that he is almost dying? At first I was thinking he killed her and she revived each time, then as it continued with them being together I was thinking it may have ended in draws, then going further it felt like she could of just killed him in their first fight when he was just an intruder.
The hero doesn't seem like he was strong enough to handle fighting her. The fight with the dragon only helped a tiny bit in changing my opinion.
