Did they fight 263 times and she never took it seriously, or is he holding back so much now that she isn't hostile that he is almost dying? At first I was thinking he killed her and she revived each time, then as it continued with them being together I was thinking it may have ended in draws, then going further it felt like she could of just killed him in their first fight when he was just an intruder.
The hero doesn't seem like he was strong enough to handle fighting her. The fight with the dragon only helped a tiny bit in changing my opinion.

It sounds like they fought around once a day, driving away other demons with the sounds of battle.

The hero seems strong enough to kill, strictly speaking, so I'm leaning on her reviving really fast.

I'm less wondering if he was strong enough to kill her, but more if he was sturdy enough to fight her. Maybe he is very good at evasion, which makes sense since it is easier to accidentally die when you aren't trying to evade.

Also it's hard to tell, but I doubt they fought that frequently. It seems the reason there are no demons around is because the previous hero killed them all. She is the only that can revive apparently, which I'm guessing is a respawn after a short while.

That's part of the reason I doubt they fought too frequently. Since the dragon supposedly came around occasionally I imagine the hero would have noticed it before if he was there fighting most days. There visits just didn't happen to line up yet, and since he was there for a prolonged time the dragon sniffed him out.

I figured the ones that the previous hero killed was her personal army and servants. It would be hard to imagine they wiped out all demons/monsters without the current hero hearing it.
