The dialogue is so weird and overdone and try-hard. like Nisioisin's.
Also bodybuilding competitions are about getting lots of muscle mass with a very low bodyfat % whereas the girl in this is high bodyfat % like an instagram model.
Didn't this manga also suggest that men should wear spandex leggings all the time if their legs are so thick-muscular that they rub together?
That's terrible advice, wearing spandex leggings all the time will just kill your sperm count.
gay manga.

I tried my best to get through the dialogue and find out what it's supposed to represent. The only interesting thing I could take away are pages 10 through 12. In page 10, Ageki for some reason thinks that he hasn't been able to depict Itsuha's body well, even though she's always happy with how the drawings come out. In pages 11 through 12, they talk about the photographer helping the bodybuilder girl really "see" herself for the first time, since looking in a mirror distorts her own perception of herself. Kind of reminds me of how Itsuha sees herself.

the one time the author could've drew Ronnie Coleman, Markus Ruhl or any of the mass monsters as a nod to real bodybuilding legends and they chose a faceless horned demon thing. Also zero ero.

fucking disappointing series, dropping this shit.

This series kind of reminds me of Monogatari's dialogue focused narrative. I guess the difference is instead of supernatural philosphicals this is about health fitness and self image. I really enjoy the casualness of the characters and looking forward to seeing how their motivations are fleshed out

I appreciate an adult take on subjects of body image, what is healthy, what is erotic. It's not porn and that's gonna piss people off but I for one appreciate the manga for what it is.

When reading this I often feel like there's some kind of dialogue happening inside the author's head that they fail to share with us, which makes the dialogue between the characters completely incomprehensible. Not all the time, but like, sometimes they just say shit that makes no sense, and the other character acts as if they understand it perfectly, like they're able to read the mind of the first character to understand what they meant even though they didn't communicate it properly. I guess it could be due to poor translation or just nuances that aren't possible to translate, or it's just bad writing, I'm not sure. But it's really annoying.
