Did my comment disappear? I was talking about how I don't want him to fall for that abusive asshole and that I will never sympathise with someone who gets violent simply because they were jealous.

He punched him and penetrated him until he bled. That's not cool. Stick with your cute little crush with that glasses boy. :( and leave the asshole to regret what he's done for the rest of his life. I'm kinda glad it's a one-shot so I don't have to see these two get together. I don't want to see another "cold seme is forgiven because he's got a tragic past so all of the abuse he's done is ok". PLEASE NO. When the narration said "both of us are in love. we are falling in love"-- that better not mean falling for each other. You can do better than him!

Yeah, no... How come these authors like writing about the abusee falling for his abuser? I didn’t mind the rough sex part, but when he hit him and raped him, the love story went out the window for me.

Most BL mangaka are women, right, with a primarily female audience? So if they were to write a story between male and female characters, would they even think to use rape as a starting point of a relationship? I doubt it, even though I've read that the Japanese may view rape a little more leniently than Westerners, because of its alleged ubiquity there. Perhaps the writers believe (Japanese or all?) men use sexual violence as a way of expressing tremendous amounts of attraction for the other person. Indeed, the words "I won't be able to control myself", "I can't hold back any longer", etc, I've seen many many times in hetero and BL manga.
