Saw the cover, I was like "Please be childhood friends". Guess lucks on my side today . Yeah Ik it's shoujo and super generic but it's still a relief from all those Class Beauty x Bottom feeder trash shounen manga. The girl is unpopular and the ML is super popular but at the very least she isn't insufferable and drowning in self-loathe. Ofc, the cliches and incoming 2nd ML are inevitable but atleast our characters have good chemistry together. I hate it when childhood friends act all shy and restraint around each other. Point is, if you've been with someone for so long, naturally you'd act more unfiltered and comfortable around them. I won't have many hopes from this manga but I don't mind how generic it gets tho it'd probably be abandoned if it runs for long.

Hey, it's themes! Mostly a perception vs. reality theme. Idealized Supa-Dari trope boyfriend, versus the actually great guy right in front of you. Not groundbreaking but at least it's not a Toxic Jerk shoujo.
