While I don't think it deserves all the hate it gets, I can understand why people feel the way they do. I had the luxury of reading it all in one go, but I can't imagine I'd feel the same had this been something I was reading as it was coming out.

All in all, I'm glad that some of the characters could have some sort of happy ending.

Quite a ride that was.
I didn't like the fireflies moment, everything else is rather ok.
Characters acting in a mature way was a good move too.
Yeah it's not 10\10 for sure, but I don't feel like it deserves the amounts of hate it gets.

Tho, I'd prefer if there was no foreshadowing with grandma saying "two keys", the reveal at the end would have been much more impactful and emotional for the reader, while not changing anything from characters perspective. The existence of second key didn't come up until the very end anyway.

It's nice to see things coming to a full circle with that title drop on page 24. Though I can't help but wonder, what do the heartbeat (page 30) and sprouting watermelon (page 31) mean? Are they in a romantic ("...together are the source of all life", page 23) but non-sexual ("...there won't be blooming flowers or ripening fruit. Everything will remain green for all of eternity", page 24) relationship? How intriguing...

However, that fireflies thing is just too much, even for an ex machina.

The firefly thing is a Japanese belief, of course most people wouldn't know. And this end left me with "what the fuck". This should have continued. I want to see these sibling lovers grow and accept their situation. For FMC to put her hatred away correctly to develop a relationship with MC. To MC learn to not accept the guilt and the responsabilities of the people around him. I am unfulfilled and that pissed me off
