The party just chilling in that village and not crossing that bridge (made with the bridge element), is maybe a metaphor the author made for the series unable to “cross the bridge” to the next volume.

But seriously, I think the author still has idea and motivation. So perhaps he can continue posting till he get another volume’s worth of chapters.

That's what happened. These bonus chapter were posted and then collected into a volume, which you can buy from Amazon or BOOK☆WALKER. Sadly digital-only, tho.
