after reading all these chapters, there's no character i dislike/hate bc the details is kinda messy and u cant be sure who's at fault for now since everyone has their opinion and stories, if one of them are wrong then it's the same for others too, it can't be one-sidedly.
Nocton is a bad guy but he wanna be a good guy too and now he's trying to do that. and for Valrose, it's normal for her not to believe Nocton anymore after what Nocton did to others and her. can't u guys see the chapter how Nocton's fam treat him that's what made him grew up like that. so for those ppl who are judging, calm ur arse and relax we're only at chp 28. this is a story, we read to understand the story and the meaning behind(maybe not) if u dont like any of these characters u quit, it's just that easy lol

manhwa/manga/manhua or a novel is not a place for u guys to find character to hate. u guys are toxic, u guys seems to loves spreading hate everywhere. even if u hate someone/character, use respectful words not some stupid offensive words that's unpleasant just like in kpop, so toxic.

People are sayong ML is an abuser in The chapter that he replaces her defensive stone with a more powerful one? You know, he just armed her so she isn't subject to his will... right?
This isnt a romance anymore its a story about a guy, with a horrible power and who learned ethics and got his life together, getting attacked by people. And they're all manipulating him with the person who made him take that first step towards being a better person.
Also there are assasination attempts which should make how people treat eachother in public and private very different and the ammount of information they let escape be potentially dangerous. you dont want to make people you cant protect targets, you dont know if theyre savy enough to be careful themselves, and privacy is only as private as its secured from enemy eyes and ears. But only nocton experiences or notices this. Maybe that's okay with the Fl and alice but Aaron's a knight! How is he naive about that?
Blackmagic mind wiping seems to work by saying someones name btw. Thats why nocton calls fl valrose. And he doesnt know how long it takes to wear off because he isn't using the power of hypnotism for anything other than self defense these days. The only way he could test it is by trying the name of some innocent he hypnotized as a kid and see if its worn off.
@JWChibi because aaron also admitted to using the FL, nocton would be relieved after Aaron gets punished for using her and calls off the engagement officially. Also aaron is acting like he's going to exchange calling off the engagement for something from nocton. Aaron's acting really slimy and political.
Finally the only part im still curious about is the source of Alice's dreams and stones. The church hates nocton right? Are they using her against him?

I'm amused the extent to which this is more like a Dracula-style horror-adventure plot a lot of the time from the perspective her would-be fiancee. The lord invites you cordially to his dungeon, in a bleak castle staffed by soulless servants...

Personally I'm not as bothered by it as I am by a lot of miscommunication-based stuff: It makes sense that they're having a great difficulty communicating, under the circumstances. Communicating properly would involve, for him, articulating all his betrayals, and for her, jumping head-first into a mortally perilous quagmire.
It's still stressful, though.

This whole plot is messy and confusing and honestly not really feeling it if this goes on for another 50 chapters. I like Nocton. He’s not the villain everyone thinks he is.

@RedTailCat Yah i agree, and the fact that the FL didn't know his powers, like something that important wasn't mention in the novel she read? If the author just mention that she just got reincarnated in a new world instead of a novel that plays no important fact in the story would've been better. If the title "everything was a mistake" is mostly the story of just them thinking he's the villain, then I'm out. I dislike misunderstandings so much, but if it's a drag i just can't lmao
