6.5/10, maybe a 7. Art is amazing, paneling is superb, story is horribly flawed. Imuris whole character IS the contradiction to the story, it isn’t a character internal contradiction. The manga is a shounen but you could call it a shoujo the way the plot continues it’s stupid love charades. How can she care and care about the main character if she is hurting him? Didn’t she do it before? Our supporting characters knew about her true form since the start but just let it be? Why do they keep letting the witches free? Why tf is dante chilling with prostitutes if he is now gay? Didn’t he just beat his ex to a pulp? Now he wants to kill him self to relieve the stress of it?
Like I was saying the story is almost like a horrible shoujo manga that keeps adding stupid love ideas as it increasingly gets worse till it reaches a horrible conclusion in order to keep its not so smart readers.
FINALY SOME ONE THAT SAID IT T^T

Completely agree, there's story "inconsistencies", like the greed guy trying to define what a man is by his own definition (would've preferred an adrenaline junkie fighter, developed into that because he wants to stay "gold" in winning against everyone, getting first, being greedy indirectly, but whatever)
Point being just being how strange this is, how do you go from rape to "being a man". Could definitely pick out more weird things, like when he "lost to lust" and that somehow being a victory? (also what did she mean by she felt good knowing she couldn't have had her past love by "seeing her in him", does the "win" not mean that she could have, in fact, had it? fr I feel like this IS a plot hole)
I'm all for main characters not always winning, or if they "do" for good reason (Rebuild World my goat🙌), but the "loss" really feels like nothing happened, also, a lot of the foreshadowing feels like they could lean into anywhere, that person in ice, his heart being chained, I don't think these are spoilers cause they mean nothing, you could show a duck on the moon it'd have the same effect
A good foreshadow would be like the bridge in Silent Voice, depression and falling from heights is already explored, so when it's revealed it's not really some twist or whatever it's more like a "yea... that makes sense", of course very shocking. Also small detail, no sound underwater, pretty cool, and I like how the book was symbolic of her wanting to communicate, for her to then hide her face behind it, there's just so much I love about that movie (it honestly should be talked about how it makes you feel uncomfortable not knowing what's gonna happen next, but given the themes of bullying, depression, suicide, it REALLY subconsciously makes you worried, ESPECIALLY the funeral, like, I thought that was it, love how much it makes you appreciate/be relieved), especially the difference in value/what you care about, when his mom finds out but, burns the money, like she says sorry about the money, but he's indifferent (as he should be, if you're gonna throw your life away you don't care about money(ngl this part made me tear up abit cause too real)), arguably genius as it's so realistic and such a small touch (literally lasts like seconds). As time went on having greater resolves is such a realistic and amazing detail, of course an adult would stand by their decision more than a kid, sure, she was bullied when she was younger but never thought about suicide, but then he's bullied, thinks about it, but just thinks back, then the last time it's thought of, well, you know. watch (all of) Silent Voice before revealing, amazing movie, anyway

my biggest gripe was in ch100
when she doubts him before having sex (about why he has condoms), people said it's their first time so it'll be awkward, but doubting/accusing of cheating before sex? complete 180, like no intimacy at all, proper intimate sex you should feel embarrassed/misplaced seeing it (as it doesn't involve you), like Tokyo Ghoul:re ch 125 (not really a fan of that story, but that chapter was a great sex scene example, not raunchy fluids flying everywhere), there's a bunch of buzzwords I could throw like intimacy, compassion, comfort, safety, warmth, romance, love, etc, I feel like none of those were hit in ch100, pleasure sure, and "don't stare"? nothing screams being comfortable with the person you love most like asking not to look at you, really makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside... it feels empty (admittedly I think the don't stare comment is supposed to be a "guys can't get enough of me" move, probably written by a woman, makes sense though, reverse roles and a woman's staring at you, it'd make you feel proud, but, in a sex scene? prioritising pride in the most vulnerable act? no sense, there's a place and a time people)

yea feels like a shoujo like you said, besides the gay dudes :wowee:
ch90+ (til like 100 or whatever):
the whole plot of it already being laid out felt pretty bad, and boring just like he said, an entertaining clairvoyant would be one that lacks resolve or has issues comprehending/processing and acting, I imagine (wouldn't suit this story but) an emotional clairvoyant that's very worrisome because they've seen multiple timelines in which those they care about die would be pretty interesting, maybe they abuse their level of trust they can accrue to get their way, why would someone doubt a clairvoyant

Instead, you get him talking about what's gonna happen, it happening , and that's it, honestly felt like filler. It really makes no sense how his "realisation" only came during/after the fact, could've been like that one guy in MHA (yea, I know, I know) that was partially clairvoyant but couldn't see the outside world, so he was surprised to see it unfold (I think it was the boss of the bubble woman)

I got a feeling it's gonna be a "reveal changes nothing" (like a lot of isekai, "I come from a different world" "WHAT:oooo:, okay now help me make food") but we'll see (talking about the ice person, chained heart, why he gotta fall in love, it's probably all connected like his heart holds some of hell's heat "until hell freezes over" or something)
ch104 is latest as of writing, I stopped after ch100, 7/10, art carries, I'll check it once it's completed :wowee:
wrote without the gpt btw :meguusmug:

Uh, wow, ch111, is it a retcon?
Flashback, she has sex with a dude who isn't the main guy, main guy watches that with her, you should know that much
I explain why I think it's a retcon below, just gonna blanket spoiler

-ch3, pg8
"You were born with no magical power, which means the exorcist won't find out."
"Until you meet the man of your dreams?"
"You're honest with your desires, aren't you?" (Implies she's never faltered)(Apparently)
Satan mentions she's "born" with no magical power (which, if he's mentioning it, would mean she's an exception to succubi/demons, she's lucky), magical power can be detected, succubi get magical power from sex (this is like, an immovable fact, the hell else would a SEX DEMON get magic from??), so she's sort of "born an undetectable virgin demon" (with a big implication, until she has sex), but, apparently not in ch111
I feel if he meant magical capacity he could've said that, which, I guess is what ch111 is trying to "clarify" (seems to be retcon)

-ch100, pg15, she has wings in the mirror, so this would seem like her getting power ("finally")(and that she has capacity, can be seen as demonic, her demonic magic can be now be detected, literally seen)
-ch38, pg18, she doesn't have wings, but asmodeus does, what the fuck, neither are in a sexual encounter so no this isn't a "wings show during sex" thing, they should be apparent (to viewer) if they have them, as asmodeus' are (ch1 clarifies asmodeus is powerful enough to perfectly hide it, why she isn't detected around ch38 by him, but is "detected" seen in the mirror by us, viewers)

-ch111, It's also just shock value, she never mentioned her past (which, with the past chapters in mind, there'd be no reason to, she's not hiding anything, anymore, as she's revealed she's a demon), but apparently now the past is worth mentioning (maybe because the sense of "reveal" went away, he knows she's a demon, uh okay, what else can we reveal, she had sex, uh... huh?)
Why does she act so shy? She doesn't value her chastity, why is she upset when he dislikes her promiscuity? ch112, it doesn't make sense, every sexual moment as far as I can recall she was shy, but in the past she isn't?
Actually, thinking about it, her shyness, timidity, whatever, is also probably another retcon, before ch101, she was legitimately shy, but after that it's some weird form of shyness that doesn't make sense
It's also with a single guy, not many, which is strange, what's the truth? Can she even recall every man she's slept with? Is it a "minimal" damage reveal of "Oh, 1 guy, and he's not a bad guy", like that makes it better? She used sex, her sex is deprived of intimacy the main guy thought existed, that's the issue, it's also uncovering sides to her the viewer and main guy never knew existed, which breaks the trust of the viewer, this flashback could've come way earlier, like beginning of ch10

Basically, my understanding:
Before: Succubus waiting for love, has no power, hasn't had sex as that gives power (is old)
After: Succubus wants love, has no power, cannot gain power, has sex (who knows how many times, is immortal age-wise)

[3/10], art carries heavy, had a hopeful 7/10 at ch100, after that awful boring part, thought it might become like the ch38 again, new place, new faces, new dynamics, nah, show her hoeing out, speak on that
(ch1-ch53) good spot to stop, all downhill forwards (7/10, arguably 10/10)
(ch54-83) okay, the only build up was the snails in his heart (Boring and a slog, 5/10)
(ch84-98) immensely boring (3/10)
(ch100) creates what the main guy and viewer see as intimate (7/10, was also where I stopped, cause goddamn I didn't want another boring part, but going forward looks to be)
(ch111) break the created intimacy, also break the viewer's trust, why was this held from the viewer, shock value, cheap and shallow (could've been a flashback like ch10, why not? I don't know, it's not good, that's why, 3/10)
ch+ baba whatever is planned out, we get what's gonna happen, then girl or whatever frozen in hell is probably "Satan's lover", I swear if this is true it's gonna be so, god, damn, lame, a "sacrifice the world for her guy", god

It does look to be completing so wait til it's complete
Came to check if ch111 was actually real, "knew" plot point of "virgin succubus"
Minor ramblings below, of what could have been, and destruction of a theme of the story, up to ch100 basically

-ch93, His power's described as on par with a demon lord, would've been cool if he awoke her power with that (As lame as it sounds, the first "love" succubus/demon (maybe turns her angelic, as lucifer is originally an angel, like instead of her bringing him down, he brings her up), which, maybe she'd be able to fight asmodeus, the "lust" succubus/demon, his main rival really), but nah, looks like she's just a regular non-magical demon (worthless, worse than human, like wtf)

Thought the theme was "despite what, it's who" (yes, she's a demon, but she's in search of love, """waiting""" for the man of her dreams), but now she's like any other succubus, sex is used and carries no intimacy, which, severely lowers a potential bond, "who" and "what" she is are beyond worthless as a partner

Also want to quickly mention how disconnected and inconsequential every part of the story feels
Defeat demon lord #1? Doesn't matter
Defeat demon lord #2? Doesn't matter
Demon lord has backstory? Doesn't matter (She's lesbian... So?)
Defeat demon lord #3? Doesn't matter (She'll be back anyway)(Oh ho you missed that one, try another!)
Defeat demon lord friend #4? Doesn't matter
She's almost dead? Doesn't matter
Met lucifer? Doesn't matter (Contrived "ya gotta meet em to save her")
Had sex? Doesn't matter
Nothing matters man, NOTHING, like shit everyone's a goddamn robot, even the robot in "Usuzumi no Hate" ch10 struck me deeper, and there's NO face (Teared up rereading it, "Welcome back Librarian, ...?, Is something wrong?" "You can just call me Ethan", FUCK)
Someone mentioned ch1 the mentor makes a gay comment and talked about "how far was this story planned", you don't have to plan around the moon to make a character gay then reveal it later, come on

Just gonna leave one more message, why you might be troubled after ch111:
Ch111 contradicts ch3, ch38, ch100's shyness, and kills any joy from buildingup to ch100's payoff (read 111, 100, 38, then 3)
Ch111 contradicts theme of "Who" not "What"
(Main character having sex void of love, let alone in a romance story, is literally cart before the horse)
(Want to "know love"... right)

4 key points (Tiny spoilers, worth knowing before starting story), She uses sex, She has loveless sex, She's bi, Unknown number of past lovers (until story is complete)

Ch100 is treated as an accomplishment by the story, both confess love, are shy, have loving sex, his name is revealed, and her wings are shown in the mirror (contrasting ch38, led to believe she's now gained power? born without power, similar to born a virgin, but sex would change that)

*(ch100, I hated this when I first read, insanely unintimate, accusing he cheated, "don't stare", guilt-tripping, really? wtf)
*("Gantz" ch59, did this pretty well, not a virgin, but it's far more intimate)
*("Tokyo Ghoul:re" ch125, I'm not sure anything can really top it)

Ch111 removes the sense of accomplishment by showing her not shy, using sex, and having loveless sex
It's done in a humorous way, he says "There's clues here!, I have to know", to then her moaning (Gross, childish even)
"Records expunged" is contrived
Next chapter also parallels the loveless sex person with him
(Mitigation of "Only one client", "He's a good guy", and only showing it for "one page" doesn't help, similar to "one fling" with an ex (like wtf, seriously), if he was a bad person, and she hated it, then it'd be redeeming, but odds are opposite, she's embarrassed due to enjoying it)

Ch3 she says "You're just like me", after she asks if he's a virgin (her leading question), he says he is and wants to know love, "just" removes any nuance to "she was talking about love, not virginity", Satan says she's "Honest with her desires", led again to believe virgin comment, as it's said her search for love overtakes sexual desire, if she is a liar (beyond what we know) showing her thoughts and flashbacks contradict any trust between the viewer and character, ruins the writing
(Garbage mystery story: You see culprit's thoughts and flashbacks, but never the ones that reveal they did it, culprit knows they did it)

What remains?... name reveal, who, cares, subversion of virgin succubus is also gone, just a powerless demon, holy lame balls, not being a virgin had no reason to be beaten around, just tell the viewer, not 111 chapters in

Feels like writing didn't know where to go after ch100 (Erm... come on brain!, GASP, I've got It! bi and brothel!), even before that I can't remember any moment had me kicking my feet or being depressed, unlike majority of other romance stories, there's a severe lack of warmth
Could've had an immensely romantic message of "sex is not the goal but the culmination of intimacy", and instead of ch100 sex they cuddle to sleep, instead, I think the message is fight the patriachy or something

Still believe author is a woman, mentioned before "don't stare" in ch100 I believed to be implying "men can't get enough of me", ch111 reinforces that, "multiple men AND women can't get enough of me", feels like a complete "girlboss" chapter ffs, and no I'm not sexist, if I was, I'd be rate this story above 3/10 like Silent voice (Movie)

Gonna edit this message later

I'm not gonna reread, but I'm gonna detail the general flaws, I'm gonna need a bit of time for brevity and stuff, it's probably gonna be similar to "Bugle Call: Song of War", I find that and this story overlap tremendously, left comments on that story, mainly about emotionally detached characters, treating or saying things are worth something then story doing otherwise, lack of character agency, and unique to this story the immature theme that those who move on or try to are evil (I mean, a demon lord can't move on, witch boss can't move on, mentor ex is evil witch who tried to and failed, Satan's story is probably him not moving on, can anyone move on? Is the priest gonna be the first? Probably not as the author sees that as evil, and he's the least evil, so lame)

Overuse of the "Light within the dark" theme, (Mentor, Priest, Asmodeus, Witch boss, etc), all goddamn romance is centered around that, so when ch111 was revealed it was a complete eye-roll, what next, Satan's love (if she exists) can be unfrozen, and she was his light in the dark?

Actually, is there one straight couple, like, completely straight?
Gonna try and not be too hateful here, but it's quite difficult

Main issue is the complete "untwist" of ch100 and ch111, to get my point across I'm gonna use "murder" and "murder robot"
-ch3 "murder robot" has never murdered (Premise subversion, ok, so when it does murder, something might happen, cool)
-ch100 "murder robot" murders (Everything before was buildup for this "payoff", what comes next?)
-ch111 "murder robot" has murdered before (What?), and "murder robot" murders for fun (What??)
-ch113 person robot murdered was going to die anyway (Only purpose was to make it so murder robot murdered before?)
-"murder robot" murdering before is brushed off (So... it REALLY doesn't matter)
-ch111 - 113 is just so fucking bad, "data expunged" "nuisance" is dealt with regardless of "murder robot", is that the redemption? Why was she not suspected? Mission was pointless then? Witch has basic non-agent suffering backstory.
"Probably Satan's doing", ah yes, of course, "Somehow, Satan returned"

I have never seen something untwist the premise subversion for no reason before.
"Oh no, of course murder robot has murdered before" That's exactly the issue, it's so fucking boring, like, painfully boring

(Last edit from me(chronological wise), the dude literally existed for 2 chapters, bones, then dies, it's so fucking lame lmao, I can't really be mad, just laughing, like all of it is lame, lmao, has there ever been a character that drops in (literally introduction), bones the main character, then dies? like wtf lmao, the way his character is handled is way funnier than what he did, he's like a goddamn OC lmao)
(and yea, it contradicts her intent behind the act, in a contrived manner (It establishes her value behind the act, worthless, opposite of previous value)) (Opposite of contrivance would be consequence, buildup, reasoned possibility even if unpredictable, not, literally 'random witch magic gives specific lore drop', like holy balls)
I can't think of any reason for this part, if it's a "murder doesn't matter" then ch100 doesn't matter, the murder in ch100 was good but ch111 was bad? so murder robot is a bad murderer? or was it not bad? I can't think of any way to redeem this besides a retcon, if it's going for "Same act, different intent" she shouldn't be embarrassed, her reaction to it completely ruins it, what you see is what you get, there's no depth, she has the expected reaction, it's the expected worthlessness

Why hold this from the viewer? Is this a regression? Why bring this up if it's going to be brushed off?
All the right to believe "once murder robot murders, something's gonna happen", wrong, NOTHING, even if mirrors in ch38 and ch100 indicate something, (as always) nothing

Only reason I can believe ch111 happened was the author's a woman and wanted a jealousy-induced cheating-level drama point (like a shoujo), if it's trying to empower women's sexuality, it does the opposite ("A literal sex demon is better than me?")
This was it though, it's either no sex(fictional), or all sex(suitable), but it decided to go "little bit" of sex("realistic"), the worst, most boring choice that only hurts women, if she's only had sex with 3 people, what's a woman with 4 past partners supposed to feel? Exactly, fuck off, there's always a bigger fish, you're only making it worse by making it "realistic"
There's no consequences. I can't think of a time he's lost, I can't think of any character who has properly died
"Romance" is just filler/delay, no conflict, every romance is built on "Light within the dark", there is no intimacy only your usual "I like you because... uh (insert appearance or being nice)", there is no "I wish that were me" feeling many romance stories try to induce
No character agency, main character is a cardboard cutout along for the ride (If there is a "choice" it's painfully obvious which one will be chosen, the school "choice")(Him being cutout is probably because author is a woman and isn't sure how to write a male).
Zero reasons to believe otherwise in many scenarios, will X die? No. Will he love her? Yes. Is Satan going to lose? Yes. Is the world going to end mid-story? No. Is the clairvoyant part filler? Yes. Because there's a "larger plan" there's no msyterious tension of "what happens next?", it's all "according to plan".
No "pure evil" characters, guaranteed Satan will be redeemed with some flashback backstory, I don't have to guess, this is going to be completely correct.
Drama is shoujo level, first clear indication was gay ex kissing witch girl, like holy shit, so childish, realistically that'd be a clear indication to move on, how could you continue to love that person at all? Complete nonsense only found in shoujo.
"Never moving on" No character moves on, I'm not going to explain why this is bad, it's immature.
Value is never put into question, they ALWAYS undoubtly love someone, there is no "is this worth it?".
No worldbuilding, can't think of a bad story with good worldbuilding.
Numerous immense "uncaring" characters, if characters don't care, why should the viewer? Main "care" is "defeat Satan", how are viewers meant to relate to that? Maybe there's some bigger bigger plan to permanently defeat Satan, if there is, then let the viewer know.
ch1-ch53 Was good, Leviathan was a decent character, School was pretty good until the end, ended on "no consequences" (he really just says "I can revive them later", oh cool, so, there's no concern) with a "I lost" (for a then retcon, moment later) "I won".
ch54-83 "World is ending", holds no tension, no reason to believe it, no risk, and following it there were no consequences. Seriously, a "the world is ending" mid-story when we know there's a "larger plan".
ch84-98 Boring nonsensical clairvoyant with pointless "fight".
ch100 Hopeful, but unintimate
ch100+ Awful, wait til complete
AOT's ending was predictable, logical, and boring. Same stuff here.
ch3, ch38, ch100, ch111, and ch113 are all you need to see.
Ch100 could have gone anywhere, instead it went nowhere, her powers awakening is a basic first step, maybe she's sent into psychosis due to it being too powerful (basic subversion of "typical good moment turns bad"(but with reason to)), a succubus absorbing, for the first time, the power of someone on par with a demon lord (which has never been done before, I mean put two and two together, a human on par with a demon lord, and a succubus with no power, they're complete contrasts (maybe a succubus can only absorb from humans)), this can put her/his love for each other into doubt (she begins to doubt him in her honest but incosiderate psychosis(does he care? or is he the same as all priests), he's reminded she's a demon(love vs duty)), and can have a romantic falling down of "I won't leave you" (given you're "you", and you're not the "you I fell in love with"), this could maybe have a second phase "how dare you" (reject me as I am), to then her calming down and him wiping her tears (as she's returned to be the one he fell in love with), accepting her in her most vulnerable state, not most defensive, an allegory of mutual trust and care in a relationship ("Find someone to wipe your tears", could be the message, insanely intimate and romantic, also a callback to when Asmodeus gave him her hankerchief, she did sort of wipe them(it was like glossed over), but she was the cause of them, allegory to a toxic relationship)
(Honestly feel like this story does romance without understanding it, you're gonna drop the "wiping tears" at like ch40? tf? No buildup, no lingering afterwards, just drop that and done? Maybe this was a clue to how ch100 was gonna be handled, seriously)
(Reason why wiping tears is so romantic is because the other is accepting and helping you in an extremely vulnerable state, they care, care more than to just ignore or leave you in that state unlike majority of others, etc, I'm gonna stop rambling)

Clairvoyant could have been deeply interested in him as his powers may have obscured him or something, like "You're the first I can't see past", THAT would've been cool, or he could've been a testing clairvoyant, seeing how far he can push him until he's pushed back, pushed his luck, multiple timelines maybe.
"Single certain timeline" was the lamest choice, and his change of actions didn't make sense, it was awful
Uncertain, unreliable, emotional, or multiple timelines, or all of those combined, ANYTHING but the most basic would've made it interesting, maybe a comment on how the first to fall was most twisted or something, instead it does lame "uh the first demon was actually a pretty chill guy".
I forgot to mention, this fight is a good example of how bad the powerscaling is, it's not like JJK where Sukuna, Gojo, and Mahoraga are the top. There's no references for power, how many regular demons could he defeat? Is him being on par with a demon lord real or just an estimate? Where does he rank comapred to demon lords, he's below Lucifer, above Asmodeus, so between them? Was he always? Can't know. This is another issue by the lack of worldbuilding.

"World ending" part was lame, limit it to a city (maybe it was, I forget), then at least give some consequence like people being in comas, so next fight means risks are even higher, tension is higher.

Give character's wishes, better than "I want to know love", have it be "I want to love", "know" sounds incredibly lame, focused and eager shows a lot more care so the viewer will consequentally care more too, between "I sort of might feel cool, maybe for now" and "I'm fucking cool", which one is better, makes you care more, and is genuinely cool.
Also, "Know love" is painfully shoujo, I'm gonna twist my balls off if I have to hear another "I don't understand love" from a fmc
Also, Church, Witch, and Devils could've been expanded, some witches hate their organisation, some don't believe it but go along with it anyway, look at JJK or Ajin.
Also, Immortality seems to mean nothing, Omni-man from Invincible is a good showing of the difference of humanity long life can bring. She acts too much like a human, like every character, you're telling me the centuries old person is embarrassed over something that happened centuries ago? Fuck off.
continued from spoiler above:
Generally have more "Oh shit" moments, Ajin ch19, Gantz ch175, Silent voice (movie)
Notably, characters care immensely (so viewer's do too), there's been buildup (character's are stressed), and it goes completely opposite to how the main character wants it to (it's tragic). I never felt stressed in this story because there was never an established tragedy theme

3/10
goes nowhere, does nothing, art's really good though (If 100 chapters mean nothing, I have difficulty caring)
(I could definitely write more, I probably messedu writing somewhere, one thing is I can't think of any "message",
Lotr had an elf give up immortality for love,
Bladerunner had the "Seeing is believing" with the "Because you've never seen a miracle" line,
Highserk had regret over blind altruism, etc)
(If it's going for "Love is the greatest sin", in which you'd do the worst things for it, then fine, but JJK had ya beat with "Love is the most twisted curse of all.", it's been done before, would've been better to drop the line later directly with previous implying acts, not, the first chapters it gets dropped, no buildup, no reason to care)
"Watchmen 2009" has a good clairvoyant, a puppet that can see the strings, getting caught in the tangle of their lives

i don't know how to feel about chap 111 , it feels so out of pocket , coming out of left field even, If the author wanted to create a haha funny moment for shock value then they did do it but let me say it had an opposite effect instead of being funny, I just feel kinda bummed and it makes all that build up worthless(?). Certified Bruh Moment!!!

Dude literally
My biggest gripe with stories is when things are "done", but literally nothing comes of it, in the end, with or without it happening, it's all the same end. This is why I largely hate female-written stories, so full of drama fluff, remove it all and nothing changes. Why people also hate "Will they, won't they?", but those have romantic fluff, drama isn't romantic, romance with nothing romantic? Headache inducing. (Sure call me sexist, I'm still not going to read Josei)

ch100/ch111 feels like this, we'll see where it goes, but so far, it all seems to be pointless.
-Had "first time" sex, cool, anything happen? No. (Despite buildup)
"Romance" fluff
-She's had sex before, ok, mean anything? So far, no.
Drama fluff (She's STILL lying, to now ALSO the viewer)
("So, it was their first time, that mean something?",
"No, it wasn't her first, it meant nothing besides that they did it",
"oh, ok")

~ch111, Seems to be a very contrived way to introduce yaba-whatever
I'd much rather a character removed from the established characters because the "initial meeting and butting heads" has already been dealt with, look at CSM, Asa's best part was when she wasn't sure who/what Denji was, that was peak.
Characters unfamiliar with each other are comparably enjoyable to the viewer being unfamiliar, there's more "new", Satan in this story seems like the last bit of hope for an interesting character, because we're unfamiliar with him, if we understood him, it'd be a bore, Asmodeus is good, but even then she has some hiccups in writing

~ch111, and, there's a moment he's like "Hm, she probably killed a bunch of people because she worked for Satan", uh, no duh? She's a demon, when does a demon not?, you know this, you should already know about this, there was a literal time skip with you knowing this.
Is he retarded? I feel like this was just a shitty way to distract him from realising she's a lying whore, like literally, she worked at a whorehouse, and she's still lying.

A well written story would be like dominoes, very consequential, take one piece out, and ending doesn't work, it's sort of contingent/reliant on many pieces to be the exact form they are, normally, this is the relationships or states or characters, have they grown from who they are initially, have their values changed from their initial values, etc.
Gantz is kind of my favourite example for this, no, it's not great, like 5/10, ending is quite bad, but the growth he goes through, and how his values change is amazing, along with there's times when he loses, which you rarely see in stories.
Easy thing to use is powers, a character couldn't have done X without Y power, it's also very enjoyable to contrast them before the power, to know they couldn't have done X before. Also works if they're "learning" a power, you'll see exactly this in the beginning of superhero movies. Too much power and they could always do X, they're basically god, which is boring.

It's why the beginning to many power-gain stories are enjoyable, you see what it's like without power, usually bad.

A good "all pieces fit together" story would be "Steins;Gate", the anime, first 12 episodes I remember were boring, but pretty sure they were setting everything up for the final "There's no other way this could've worked".
Same with Silent Voice (movie), it's great.
Basically, she's STILL lying* (To both him and now also the viewer(Upscale? lmao)) 110+ chapters in, feels like the writing couldn't think of a way to keep going without that* (Working at a whorehouse and lying, "lying whore" is quite literally what she is).

honestly speaking, I think the author is just milking things atp, creating useless drama fluff, i mean we all knew that FMC was a demon/succubus, the author could have shown what she did during her past, I mean she is a demon so it is a given she is not pure or a virgin, it would've suppressed that uneasy feeling of chap 111, but no, this just feels like something was forcefully wedged and to top it all why the fuck is she acting embarrassed (?), bruh that was you doing shit , I would have been a bit okay if she was like "yeah things happened and I might have enjoyed it at the time but I kinda regret it now and i want to if you're willing to make us experience something that wasn't this, which is her being or acting like a whore". the romance and banter stuff between the MC and FMC was somewhat cring but cute on the previous chaps but after going through chap111 it feels like it went out the window and it doesn't make sense to me at all. Just like you I kinda feel that all of the things that are happening now feels like its unnecessary plot and drama for no reason. I just want to see everyone get the consequences for their actions, I might have to stop reading from here and take a break till the manga ends or give it a few more chapters.

milking things atp, creating useless drama fluff
could have shown what she did during her past
This was it though, we were "shown" with things like ch10 of her being hunted for being a demon, ch3 she's "same as him", and were given flashbacks and her thoughts that same chapter. All for those to not matter, only conveniently shown what "matters"(?) so ch111 was shown, because, it does matter? or, it doesn't because it was only shown 111 chapters in?
She just never stops lying, ch111 reveals she's also lying to the viewer, which I'd say is a regression, like great, we now can't trust her even though we were led to, for 100 chapters

Flipping her lie is more enjoyable, instead of "of course I've always" being the truth, it's a lie, revealing intent is enjoyable, could be a major point of pride, to subvert it could play on succubus/incubus chastity, in that if they don't have sex within say a decade or century they're deemed virgins for all intents and purposes, so she's contrasted against others and even more special in being not just chaste but a virgin, this gives it more weight in her trusting him with her essentially lifetime act

What could've been done, is the viewer is led so far into believing her (That she is the usual succubus), that when she does have sex it's a complete shock, like it feels like a retcon but there's been very minor signs otherwise, I feel that would've been way more peak and funny, instead of "Never done it before, of course actually has" a "Of course has done it before, always does it, the best at doing it others can't compare in times and amount done... not really", the way to redeem her early would be to sort of "don't care" about it, like make it sort of painfully obvious with a small detail that the viewer doesn't care anymore about her chastity and it's never touched on again, her character would then focus on something else, to partially redeem it could be a "never kissed before", to which, both are actually true, again, complete shock (and sort of suits, as maybe for a succubus sex isn't romantic, but a kiss is, so in her tradition she's romantically reserved, actually both)(and, in her crying or something she could apologise for lying, and in the moment it's revealed as to why, he thinks she's crying for lying, she's crying for both lying and pain).
why the fuck is she acting embarrassed (?)
Makes zero sense, she's just simply written poorly as an immortal that's lived for centuries.

Happened centuries ago, with (apparently) no care behind it, and she's overly familiar with it, even the "sex is always embarrassing" doesn't work, she's a literal sex demon, she really, should be less embarrassed than him.

I feel the author is a woman and projects how she'd react without any thought to the actual character, and the guy is just a quiet cutout, people have called his type before a "doormat mc".
romance and banter stuff between the MC and FMC was somewhat cringe but cute on the previous chaps but after going through chap111 it feels like it went out the window and it doesn't make sense to me at all.
Dunno if I've ever seen an fmc accuse mmc of cheating before "first time" sex ever

It would've been an "ah she cared" or something if she was jealous that their firsts couldn't have been with each other, but now it makes zero sense, like, she has sex for fun, why would she care? (she cares about sex? no, she doesn't, were they even dating? she just takes him for granted) It's hypocritical and her being unaccountable for accusing is absurd, like, accused of cheating? Hello? Lowest form of trust (Womanly written, "male devotion" is also a woman theme, you'll notice that marriage is more of a "I as a man am devoted to you for my life", not a "til death do us part", it's one-sided, course)
Just like you I kinda feel that all of the things that are happening now feels like its unnecessary plot and drama for no reason. I just want to see everyone get the consequences for their actions, I might have to stop reading from here and take a break till the manga ends or give it a few more chapters.
Yea, I stopped at ch100 at the time, looked at ch111 to see if it was real, ch113 "concludes" ch111 in the laziest "he dies anyway"
(So mission was pointless?)(Why was she not suspected?)(Why was data expunged?)
(It's all "Satan did it")
I'll skim it once it completes, it sort of just pisses on itself
I do wanna mention I saw a comment that talked about CSM's Power/Denji relationship and how it was very intimate without sex, and I never looked at it that way, of "Romantic intimacy void of sex", and I feel this story could've done that too, but completely ruins with ch100 and ch111.

A sort of "sex came, but wasn't a goal, intimacy was" is a really nice romantic theme.
(This story clearly doesn't follow that, and arguably places sex as the goal, to then ruin that goal, so we're just left with... I don't know, STDs?)

You'll notice rarely is a liar a main character in any good romance stories, or, if they do lie, it's out of selflessness, care, a "don't mention it" lie, not a "yea I worked at a whorehouse, am immortal, have sex for fun, why do you care, no I won't tell you more, did you cheat?"
Ch111 is incredibly poorly written because you doubt if ch100 mattered, yes? no? Scrap it, is it not better overall?
Main conflict led by fmc lying

"Watchmen 2009" has a good clairvoyant, a puppet that can see the strings, getting caught in the tangle of their lives
so she's basically jenny from forrest gump? I don't like the term but for lack of a better one, the story sounds woke as hell. Glad I dropped it. I feel bad for the artist since they really were hard carrying this manga.

Yea, it's worthy to skim, Asmodeus' art for example is crazy good, amazing art
I know I sound like a complete hater, but I honestly can't think of another story that's so, weird, like, a gay ex kissing a girl in front of their ex as a petty move? no immediate characters are straight (besides main guy?), I'm ignoring the white house "if you're so equality why mostly men" line, my main gripe is the romance isn't sweet, no one feels grateful, caring, or trusting of each other, and I feel it's going down the route of "sex means nothing" (even then, it treated ch100 like an accomplishment, so it did? then it didn't 11 chapters later, it makes no sense).
Also, early sign was it depicted the Greed lord as "super masculine", such an empty punching bag, such a bore.

I was invested til like ~ch50, after that, felt like sunken cost so I caught up to ch100, but left it there (the clairvoyant part was SO unenjoyable, it's a prime example of what NOT to do, literally the opposite of "Show, don't tell", told the viewer exactly the future, then was showing them it, this is like, the WORST thing possible), then came back to see it pissing on itself

You can sort of tell the gender of the author based on which gender "has one over the other", like the fmc is always lying, no male author would write that, for 110+ chapters especially
(You can look at Power from CSM, amazing character, written by a guy, is a liar, but she's loved)
I don't understand why it never lets something "stay as is", no win stays a win, no loss stays a loss, viewer can't trust, next "win" or "loss" you have to wait to see if it actually is one or if it's just going to dig up what's been established again
(ch3's message was dug up, ch100's "win" was dug up, Asmodeus' "loss" (actually a "win"? so "loss" speech was pointless? Hello?) was dug up, all for what purpose? Mentor is probably going to be dug up too, god)
Another mini gripe is the church knew she was a demon, but never told him? No sense

I don't think any of those are a spoiler, they mean nothing (that's also the issue)

and yea, I'm not much of a political person, but this image hits some marks

I don't think any of those are a spoiler, they mean nothing (that's also the issue)

and yea, I'm not much of a political person, but this image hits some marks

We went through a dark and realistic phase in nerd fandoms in the 2010s with stuff like the Dark Knight trilogy, Game of Thrones, and Soulsborne. These series still appreciated their roots but tried to make things more morally grey, grounded and gritty. I think many people, especially in the anglosphere, got tired of this and starting pushing back in the complete opposite direction. We now have tons of series that hate the original source material and go out of their way to make things jokey, irreverent, and subversive. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with comedy or subversion but when there's a clear hatred for the source material and audience, then we have a problem. It's kind of insane how this manga has all the hallmarks of what I consider trashy, modern anglo writing. If you told me a white girl wrote this, I wouldn't be surprised.

100% I agree
Opposing "pure evil", that everything can be redeemed, dilutes contrast, if everyone's "oddly misunderstood", is anyone?
("Frieren", "JJK", and "CSM" I'll argue contain a minor subversion that it can be "managed", not redeemed)
It does feel too joking, you'd never get "Silent Hill 2", or even "UP"s beginning nowadays, I really hate stories that disconnect themselves* or don't let any tension build, I forget where or what I saw but someone was discussing exactly this, modern writing can't let emotional moments "live" they have to be cut short or it gets too serious, and this is EXACTLY ch100, I feel the accusing of cheating is done as some interjection of comedy in what's supposed to be an intimate moment, it just pisses on itself, writing romance but interjecting the most intimate scene? Just bring in the jobbers for the action and call it.

*(Like I said before, the story tells you to care, then acts otherwise, this story and "Bugle: Song of war" for example)

(People like "Dungeon Meshi" but I just can't, like, sister is being digested and they're having a cooking show? wtf)

I'm still confused on what ch111 was trying to achieve, what was the initial draft? Was it really just "insert guy, bone fmc, die"? Was it for humour? Is this really just "sex funny", honestly beginning to believe it is, as there's other immature/petty themes in this story, no character romantically moving on, and kissing infront of ex.

(It ruins the viewer's trust since ch3, I'm just confused, never seen a story do this before (untwist premise subversion), for, what reason?, I can't argue for it because I really don't understand any of it, she had sex... so? how does this matter? (especially for a SEX DEMON, if it was a SEX ANGEL, then oh wow a bit more shocking, but a SEX DEMON?) the only thing it changes (as far as I can tell) is you can't trust what you're shown or told anymore, how is that better? (Said before, this is Painfully Boring to have a "reveal" of a "no sex, sex demon" having "sex"... who could have guessed, this is retard level writing (Admittedly hateful here, but seriously, fuck's going on)))

(It severely ruins the theme it was going for of "who not what", well what do you know, the sex demon is a literal lying whore, you actually CAN judge a book by its cover)

(Not moving on can be romantic, a widow not moving on is the perfect example, that's very sweet, but not moving on from your ex that kissed their current partner in front of you, and fighting them? like wtf is going on, this is just awful)

Edit: I know I may sound like a broken record, but man, this story is certainly unique
"Watchmen" (Movie, 2009) was a subversion story of its time, comics used secondary colours, and usually optimistic heroes were pessimistic
("His subtle facial twitches wouldn't have been noticed by the layman but to me, he might as well have been sobbing." a stoic face being so heartbroken, I can't express how much I love it, "Show, don't tell" done perfectly, revealing of emotion, revealed indirectly, adds weight to the scene if you cared to notice)

Edit: Also just adding, asking an omnipotent clairvoyant "Well what are you waiting for", god... that scene
Not everything can be forgiven, and that might be a missing theme a lot of authors don't accept

Unrelated, I hear a owl hooting rn, so cool, it has a kind of 4? hoot build up to a 2 hoot finish
(It stopped as soon as I tried to count them, like vid but beginning rapid hoots were louder)

Said a shit ton, want to add she CHOSE to do what she did in ch111, she agreed to the mission (ended up being pointless), and to have sex with the witch (no reason besides, "wanted to"), she does purely what she wants, led to believe she didn't want to have sex with that man, but, she is embarrassed, so she did
(Usually sex demons HAVE to have sex, but she apparently doesn't, maybe because of her lack of magical power, so, even more so she has sex, because she wants to, no other reason)

Major issue, and what people commonly gripe about with stories, is the "lack of confronting"*, when ch111 dropped, his reaction was "she's a demon, she must've killed people" (retarded conclusion), he doesn't confront her on her fucking the witch? the dude?, why she'd want to?, so, sex means nothing to him? did ch100 mean nothing to both of them? again, I'm so confused why ch111 was done, what was gained? it seems to regress many things
ch100, Both just had sex because they wanted to? Fucking awful writing (So, he's just a horndog)
*Summed up to having a character gain amnesia, anything of the character can no longer be confronted

ch100 she wants to have sex, for love or lust? seems to be love
ch111 she wants to have sex for lust, twice, she's also bi
So ch100 was for lust? He also doesn't care about ch111, so him too? ch100 was just lust, masked as love?
Fuck is this writing? Romance built on perversion, not intimacy (Acting like intimacy too, god)

In stories, you can make the drug addict or politician as the hero, reality shows otherwise, painting the "lying selfish whore sex demon" as the "hero's partner" is retarded, frankly, kill her, ideal happy ending

Props to the artist though, nothing but admiration for them, don't think the pointlessness was expected as with the mirrors in ch38 and ch100 would indicate, not only is there a lack of, anything, really happening, but nothing is being confronted

If we do "what we want" and not "what's right", we'd all... you fill it in, for a lead character to lack basic morals, for so long, is fucking garbage writing
(Flipping genders, it's still shit, it's not a gender issue, it's a writing issue)

Peak writing would've been he's able to have sex through love not lust, and never moving on from his trauma (as no real victims do), THAT would've been so amazing, she subverts her lustful nature for love, and he's able to "loophole" his trauma, as he loves HER, not her BODY (As does she)
(Also, they'd have "bad" sex, not inherently pleasurable, but happy they tried, and will try again, ending on a kiss, so sweet)
(Maybe they even become their own objects of desire, unable to be aroused unless it's them, similar to being unable to love anyone other than them, I've never seen a story do that, it'd be crazy)
Edit 2: Ch100 was like watching a mother kiss her child then ch111 was that same mother turning around and blowing a dick
It's fucking disgusting, I will never be "sex positive", I'm not reading ROMANCE for "THAT"
With all these biblical references I feel her ch3 "virgin" talk is a "ownage" of virgin Mary, I'm not sure, but I wouldn't put it past the author to be spitefully bitter given how petty all the themes are
(Yea yea, more writing, I just can't stop thinking about how shit the story is, like, 100 chapters in, and it's still shit? this is rent-a-peak levels of rugpulls we're talking, lmao, "My underwear's having sex with hers", fuck that's funny, anyway)
I was gonna bother to explain why perversion is taboo, I think the easier thing to do (in being concise and brief, brevity, "succinct" if I'm pretentious) is to provide examples like the "mother kissing child, then blowing a dick" one
(Explain on a more fundamental level, on par with murder, cannibalism, drugs, etc, not just about perversion vs intimacy)
If you ever hear a woman, or women, talk about "big dicks", it's equivalent to a man, or men, talking about "tight pussies", disgusting, no respect for either
("Oh my god his dick was so big" "Oh my god her pussy was so tight", shut up, kill yourself)
A simple story inversion, female lead has "mind-blowing" sex, while being embarrassed about it (covering his eyes) and having the male lead watch, invert it, have Asmodeus come back, now that he's "over" his trauma (no real victims fully recover, but whatever), he has "mind-blowing" sex with Asmodeus as she watches, the embarrassment can be a simple "Don't look" from him "covering her eyes"
Again, it's disgusting, awful writing, writers often have the "don't look" line, it's still bad writing, a "stop" or "help me" is better
(But I would ironically have far more respect for the author if they're going to actually confront the pettiness of it all, tit-for-tat, she's a whore, he's a whore, as it currently is, it's some pro-woman-have-sex thing, like modern "feminism", mothers of the future, future generations will spite their parents, not like the parents will remember (HSV increases odds of dementia by 2.5x))
(Now again, valuing "good"* sex is focusing on "what" someone is (another thing the story was "supposedly" subverting, guess not), big dick or tight pussy, so, yes the female lead is a whore, the "super macho man" client she had was clearly written to be some jealousy of male lead rival, thing is, guys don't really get as jealous, it took me a moment to realise this far long after I saw it, I really only saw her being a disgusting whore, and well, any jealousy of that is, what, "Oh no, he fucked my girl"?, well, your girl's a whore, it's like "Oh no, he fucked my shit pile", it's really whatever, this is, also the issue, the female lead now has less respect from the viewer, if you ask someone to spare a virgin or a whore, they'll chose... yea)
(Reason to break up with a cheater, it's a "Oh, I thought they weren't, but they are just a pile of shit", easier when revealed)
(Again, it was a "girlboss" chapter, bone the masculine guy, be bi, lie, ha... also gatekeep age, like holy fuck dude, unaccountability through the roof, I'm sure any woman would love this representation)

*("Good" sex is pointless, if you give someone food, and they go "OMG this is the BEST food I've EVER had I LOVE YOU" or "Thank you, I love you" (Frankly a whore vs virgin), which one makes you feel better (They're critical of your food, or grateful), "Bad" sex with the person you love is more valuable than the "Best" sex with the person you don't love, this is, simple, and will always ring true)
("Love" of a whore is stretched thin, do you feel more loved from someone who goes "I love the world", or, "You're the only one I love", scarcity over something valuable increases its worth, this is basic supply and demand, again, you cannot change this, water everywhere, or only one spot, do you feel like protecting the spot or not?)
(Also the issue with romance built on perversion, it's critical, not grateful, if your family ever antagonised you or guilt-tripped you over something, you understand this, of course, proper intimacy is "tough love", they want the best for you, so they'll admonish, guide you into a better path, but being critical, is not love, a "That sex was shit, do better", or, "Thanks for having sex with me, I loved it"(*2), both can frankly come from a virgin, you'll notice whores are generally less grateful... you now know why (Critical perversion... not grateful love)(Also, sex is "with" someone, you don't "fuck" them you "have sex with" them, another dissonance whores have (Women/Men whores))
*2("Love you" doesn't need to be said, it's expressed through the act, it's a given, but if they critisize you, that given is then doubted, instead of a thanks they say the sex was shit... you'll wonder if they even love you (Like someone hugs you, then says you stink, so, why did you hug me?)(This is honestly probably the (a part of) "unconditional" love people seek, grateful and expressed love as a given, acts of love aren't conditioned))
(Even if "that was the best" is said, it brings doubt to it, cause they were critical/comparative of it, had to doubt to confirm "best", even if proved doubt wrong, doubted to begin with, doubted given, wasn't doubted til they did, weren't concerned whether it was "the best" or not, reciprocated (as one would in a relationship), "That was the best" "Oh, uh, yea same here", or, "Thanks" "Yea, love you :)" "I know :)" (Kicking my feet writing that))

Could've had "cultural difference" (read 1:5) of "sex demons", that to them sex is common/normal, not intimate, you'll often hear this of, to a sex demon it's like eating, that's a good way to have the viewer correlate it, could you criticize someone for eating? No, not really, everyone has to, instead the female lead is depicted as extremely human, she IS embarrassed about her having sex, so, her being a sex demon is again, pointless in contributing to her character, instead of "oh she has sex because she's sex demon", now it's just "she's a whore" because no "sex demon" part of her influences it, again why is she shy about it? was it just because she was shy in ch100? but how is she not shy in ch111 not the witch nor the dude? but then she is? but she's also immortal... and grew up with sex demons... and she's had sex before but is shy when doing it again... basically it's garbage writing that isn't consistent, the "shyness" in ch100 was clearly a "I'm a virgin" fakeout thing, again, I'm not sure why even bother fussing about that? Ok, not a virgin, so? Even if you hold the "she's a virgin", she's a lying selfish bitch, she still, 100%, deserves death, COMPLETELY
(Genuinely, dude went to hell and back, fought demon lords for her, she's... lied, manipulated, won't answer, accused him of cheating, guilt-tripped, like wtf? KILL her, world WILL be better without her in it)
Very "Story" written, sex demon is shy of sex, grew up with sex demons, had sex before, multiple times, embarrassed of sex, will have sex without qualm (Write hero drug addict for the next "Story")
Premise subversion "virgin", pointless, if it's going for "Satan has restrained her power from being absorbed", it's just latent, and she's gonna be the one to defeat the witch boss because of it, still shit writing, so contrived
(Greater power behind everything contrivance, what is this, the Bible? (That says the Bibble))
"Told, shown otherwise" is so lame, "I'm not the murderer" then seeing them murder... yea I just spat ropes everywhere from imagining that, "I'm not X", shown to be X, woah... all over my screen

More ramblings
Yea, ch115 is another shit-bucket, didn't read it, saw last image and comments
Again, very petty (Neener, neener next (Still doesn't seem self-aware))
-Ch111's "love betrayal" ruins the "betrayal" attempted in ch115, her flaws are self-inflicted (and ingrained given immortality), main issue with ch111 was that it's basically an overlap to cheating, who you fell in love with is actually not who you thought they were, and him not moving on from her is so unrealistic it's difficult to care, so ch115 doesn't really have an impact
(I don't really care, I think it's supposed to be a love triangle, they fight for her? A harem this late into the story would be dope, major fucking twist, he's banging a succubus and a witch, dope, 100 chapters more please)
-It's kinda funny a "Are you sure you want to see my dark past?" and it's just them jizzploding everywhere, like, you live like this? Next is a "Go long!" with them spitting ropes

-What would be cool is him moving on, replacing her, she becomes bitter, changes into a better (or worse) person, issue is everything is so surface level, no confrontation, no consequences, no progress, everything stays shallow
(Envy demon lord just being some pity victim feels like a projection from the author "envy isn't actually bad")
(ch111 prime example of no confrontation (we'll see if she's ever held accountable, if she is then it's good, but I can't think of any point where the main characters are held accountable))
-Running into very basic romcom issue of dragging relationships and never moving things forward until the final moment, or ch100 was supposed to "cement" the relationship but then she turned out to be a lying whore, if you want a story with shit that happens, read "120 Years high elf"
-Immortality means nothing, like, CSM did this too and it was so ass, JJK at least had Tengen an immortal human be very monotone and Kenjaku a cursed spirit couldn't change, which ties into Sukuna sort of changing as he's human, it's cool

Issue with being a whore, isn't the loss of virginity, a virgin's mind put into the body of a whore, is by all means a virgin, so, the issue lies with "who" that person is, virginity/chastity is an expression of character, self-control (which is attractive*), guessing, would an abuser be more or less likely to rape? both are points of self-control, a "I can't stop myself" thing, nobody wants someone who lacks self-control as a partner, also one that's a liar, sounds like she'd get addicted to drugs then lie about using his money, realistically, or she'd neglect her children and rape them, she is a SEX DEMON, but story has a "demons are actually kinda chill" thing going on, it's just weird, and bad
Self-control obviously correlates with selfishness, which does not go far in relationships (not in healthy ones anyway)
(Make the most of necessary evils, very important life lesson)
(Intents can't rival acts, telling yourself that your pisses are tributes to god, it's not gonna fucking matter)

(There's that one story I read, real life prostitute paid by old men as she went to college (she said it got dark at times), guy years after that tried dating her but sex felt like he was fucking a doll, she'd zone out, look to the side, and go limp, she talked about because of how traumatic it was for her, she literally disassociated during sex, comments told the guy "Did you see your older self with a former prostitute?" no one would, there's nothing to gain, something to lose, treating sex lightly or with little care doesn't go well, and yea, she could have done anything else, but she chose to be a prostitute (and she traumatised herself for life, she cried when she told him about her past, he was just completely dumbfounded, he mentioned feeling pity, but also disgust, and he's unsure what to do (as he didn't want to betray her honesty), he can't do anything though, except leave her, he's not responsible for her past))

*Someone who stomps, slams, shoves, swears, sniffles, spits, etc, are all flawed acts that cease with self-control, some if not all require self-awareness, they have to be aware of what they're doing, and that it's bad, I'm sure everyone got told to chew with their mouth closed at one point, and it was embarrassing, it's undignified to lack self-control, commonly disgusting, so, "why sex bad" it's like such a retarded form of "if feel good, why bad?", it's like we're in the fucking stone age again, if we promote sex, we're also indirectly promoting rape and child abuse, someone who doesn't "do" sex would not rape, I always get frustrated with sex positivity, rape and they WILL change their mind, it's fucking retarted to HAVE to get things to go that far for things to change, asking a rape victim if they're sex positive is the most retarded thing you could do, it's again a "well how does this affect you?", I don't want people to get raped, and I don't want people to be selfish
(Maybe that's what's gonna happen with this story, gets raped, so then sex negative, makes sense)
(Sex positivity's only goal was to make sex casual, then you hear stories of people having one night stands not realising who they slept with had a partner, like hello? you're also the fucking issue, both of you are retarded)
...origin word for Hysteria

(Anyway, kind of an interesting story idea, someone with infinite love, guess that'd be god, maybe this story will incorporate that, or is the main guy supposed to be a "I love everyone" thing? That'd honestly be kind of cool, he moves on from her by treating her no different than anyone and everyone else)
Flaws can be written well, but I genuinely can't see a way of writing an immortal lying whore as a redeemable character
Basic good flawed would probably be like Evangelion, Silent voice (movie, watch it), Rebuild World, MAD, Highserk, sort of CSM, Frieren, Gantz
-Dogs get the same chemicals we do by hugging when they look at us, so, eye contact is intimate, and hugging
-Puppies which are a bit crazy get calmed down by listening to a heartbeat, as they were taken from their mother too soon, so, listening to heartbeats is intimate (given it's a calm one)(might also be related to when we listen to music our heart tries to match the rhythm)
-Tears release the stress chemical, and, when smelt by others pacifies them, so, hold someone who cries, you both benefit
Wonder if the ending is the "most holy" dude dying for the sins of the world or some shit, is it doing a "fight all demon lords" thing? He fought, lust, greed, envy, gluttony, sloth, pride? Is the story almost done? Is there legit like 2 more fights? Is it doing the romcom thing of moving things forward only at end, which was what ch100 was for? It might actually end at 150 or sooner, can't wait, dude, could you imagine when rent-a-peak ends?

If you want romance, go read "3 Days of Happiness" or "Asper Kanojo", I think "Sometimes the gods tell lies" is also good, "Hope you're happy lemon" and "Kusunoki flunk" is alright
Enjoy this story as one would rent-a-peak
tenor.gif
-My biggest gripe (which I see far too often, and why I dislike this story so much) is suffering done to "perfect" characters without agency, main guy is a clear example, I can't think of anything he's done wrong, so any suffering that's done to him doesn't have any depth, there's no attachment, pure eyeroll, I do like tragedy, but could you imagine "Silent voice" if he didn't get bullied? suffering, just cause? ONLY thing a "perfect" character suffering does is garner viewer pity, this is exactly what baba whatever tried to do, if I do feel pity... so, what then? This is tagging characters with traits like fucking OCs, "whorehouse jobber" "is bi" "loves fmc" "raped", is that really the extent of the backstory, for, what appears to be a major antagonist? Seriously
-Hate the "perfect prince" main character, redemption requires flaws, issue is it's so far into the story if he were to act in an agent flawed manner it'd have to be a retcon and/or regression (and/or without agency), maybe if he goes against fmc, but even then, is that even a flaw? probably in the writer's eyes
(Stories do have to juggle writing a flawed character to be redeemed, and not losing viewer interest off inability to relate)
(I'm excited to see once it's complete what the general plan for the story actually was, hindsight's 20/20, I don't want to hate too much, but it just keeps getting worse, it's entertaining to think about (I didn't even think about how shit the main character actually is, he's like, the most forgettable main character ever, probably cause his name was kept hidden... for some reason (Uh, okay, "Josh"), again, another just purely bad writing part, a good lesson to learn, people aren't going to become attached to something they can't even name, a codename even works, if I say "2B" you know who I'm talking about, if I say "YoRHa No. 2 Type B", it's like "Get the fuck away from me"))

-She should've been disgusted by her past if she had dignity, it COULD've been a great "I'm not proud of this"
(So she's actually flawed, and redeeming herself, not just being a... you know)
-What I can imagine, and I hope for (as it would actually DO something) is a "I did love you" from the main guy, perfect, he's moved on, for good (consequential) reason, even if she didn't want to confront anything, it doesn't matter
(But it's bad, been bad, so don't expect it)
(Story could've commented on the virgin/whore effect (or even hedgehog dilemma), like how love changes sex from perverse to intimate (and many men only come to know love as perverse, so they have difficulty being "intimate" with a whore, and "perverse" with a virgin lover(as both are counterintuitive)), but, intimate sex requires mutual love, again, her embarrassment ruins this, as it just means she's perverted through and through (She's fucking immortal)(Even a "recovering" succubus story would've been preferable, a "greedy" sex demon searching for intimate, not perverse sex (I think is what this story tried to do? but it didn't establish her being perverse, then searching for intimacy, again, redemption requires flaws, it literally tried to redeem her before revealing her flaws, again, good lesson on what not to do)(And, being a demon doesn't mean shit in this story, might as well just be an immortal human))
-Interesting concept could've been she has a virgin mind, but with that body, so she has to be honest about it
(I mean, I guess that was it til ch100, but should've been more of a "I'm ashamed of what I am", which, I don't think she's ever thought? I can't think of one time she's felt shame)
-Pride or self-worth based on acts with no self-control is damaging, "Humility makes angels", guess it does
(If she was literally 100% ashamed of who and what she is, and actually like rebirths as an angel, maybe from ch100 (maybe got just enough power from him to metamorphose?), that would've been so fucking badass, like lying perverse/whore demon turns honest intimate/lover angel? I've never seen that before, instead, left with record breaking low levels of aura and writing)
(Maybe the guy will, but I mean, it's not even that shocking, from ch1 you know he's like the holiest person ever, it's so fucking boring, just like "sex demon has sex", "holy guy is angel" what's next, satan's plan works, but what he didn't plan doesn't? it's gonna be so lame "I didn't plan for this!", I swear (swear my screens gonan be COVERED))
("Why would a sex demon be ashamed of sex?", exactly, that's the issue, it's so boring "I'm sex demon, I have sex, I will always have sex", oh my god, this is a MAIN character?)
(Really, there's statistics on like everything, divorce rates are lowest with virgins (and STDs, "anal only" is same STD rate), diabetes and heart disease are highest with obesity, people who choke their partner are 750% more likely to kill that partner in the future, and someone who yells at you would naturally yell at your kids, really, apple doesn't fall far from the tree, self-control is attractive, never gonna change)

-Wasn't his heart all chained up, did he even fall in love? It'd be cool if he actually moves on to find a proper partner, honestly, go back to Asmodeus, and kill fmc, Asmodeus genuinely cares more about him, and they go way back too

Also, two real stories, read a story about
-wife's ex sent her husband a video of her blowing him
-unsurprisingly husband just couldn't see her as "a mother or wife" anymore
-was filing for divorce
-wife angry her ex was "winning"
Expected outcome, reap what's sown, I don't understand why people blow so willingly, it's how you get yeast infections or UTIs, and, it's disgusting, you're gonna use those same lips to kiss your spouse and kids? Gross
(There is no "I didn't want my lips to be used like that", you willingly used something "of value" in a degrading manner)
(Of course, you could also argue she wasn't a great wife, if you think the video wasn't important, then he wouldn't leave her as easily, but I mean, given the video, you can guess her character)
(I feel it leans into her not treating herself with respect, she treated herself in a disgusting manner, so her husband sees her like that too, hypocritical to expect otherwise)

Other story was
-someone I met, I heard from someone I knew
-talked about wanting to cheat
I feel I give too much hope for the complexity of people because it really made too much sense, they were very performative (adjusting voice and accessories like tons of rings), selfish (friend favoritism based on catering to self), unhygenic (public worn clothes to bed), and bragging about money or seeking attention (to a crazy degree, like using their phone during movies or shows to text), it really is crazy, just not a good person

Funny convo I heard
-"Any advice to get her back?"
-"Maybe just don't get her back, do ever think about that?"
Perfect for this story

I thought about why I dislike it, and other stories, skip to Summary if you want
-Tragedy
Tragedy is my favourite genre, I want to care, I want to cry
Usually creates characters you care for, with a complete contrast, amazing to horrible, growing to dead, loving to grief, so, what I hate most, is retcons, regressions, twists, or, characters are so bad you can't care
(Potential being cut short is a pretty good tragedy, winning 2nd place)
(Sacrifice, suffering/pain, loss/grief, sorrow)
(Selfless sacrifice makes you care even more in their final moments, awesome)

If characters care for each other, it's easier to care for them, it's easier to cry

For a tragic ending, if it's difficult to create a more engaging ending, have to trade engagement, then it did a good job "Everyone lives", is it more engaging? or is a lot lost (CSM)

-Drama
I hate drama, especially in romance, it's not fluffy, it's noise, rarely does anything come of it worth engaging with "Do you think they should've said that?" I don't care

Cheating's drama not tragedy, it's betrayal of love, ruins care
Tragedy targets viewer, not characters
Drama targets characters, not viewer
(Best example is end of "Girls' last tour", does it hurt the characters? Not at all, is it tragic? Absolutely)
("Scum's wish", cheating and stuff, do I care? No, but characters do (Creator of Scum's wish crashed out over Power's death, drama creator crashing out over tragedy))
(I want to go "Is this real?", not "Gross")

Cheating/perverse acts aren't good tragedy because cheater/pervert isn't worth caring for, they prioritise lust over love, the other will move on, or they'll lose care from the viewer too (It's lose-lose)
(Assume viewer has high standards, high standard story works for both low and high standard viewer, opposite isn't same)

Tragedy doesn't reduce characters, and something you can't seek revenge or control/change happens to them, like a natural disaster, robot/ghost/demon, accident, illness, killing/hurting them
(With ch111, if fmc wasn't a complete whore, and got raped, that, would've been more of a tragedy, as the rapist is already dead, instead, she's just a whore, which reduces her character, and if the guy doesn't have the self-respect to move on from her, reduces him too, it's a lose-lose, there is no growth from this, it's a regression)
(Was Baba a tragedy then? no, because she sought revenge, she's a pity victim, not a tragic victim, you can respect someone who bites their tongue more, it's more painful to care for them as a viewer, so it's a better tragedy)

Not sure anything can top permanent loss, part of tragedy is wanting them back, if you have them, you don't want them back
Good tragedy characters, will have the self-respect to move on, opposite of what drama wants

-Etc
Self-awareness/control/respect, "S-a/c/r"
Regret, patience, dignity, these are invaluably attractive in anyone
(A lot I could delve into, most self-aware can regret most recent, most in control won't just stop bad but do good, respect isn't pride (entitlement) but acting knowing you wouldn't hurt another as they do to you)
(Lacking these are like animals, bitch, cow, pig, dog, no one wants to be compared to an animal)
(Tragedy can maintain "S-a/c/r", Drama can't, can even grow it, it's amazing)

Non-virgins in media often fail being portrayed well, as they've already failed by bringing light to it
(Example, someone I knew, when they saw someone fat jogging, they'd go "Good for them", it's like pity, if they weren't fat, they wouldn't have said anything, treated different, because there was enough reason to)
(This person was not a good person, selfish, fat, immature, wouldn't apologise, lazy, reactive, petty, impatient, yelled, stomped, plugged ears, guilt-tripper, alcoholic, generally lacked "S-a/c/r")
(Lore dump, then move on, if it's held over, focused on, it brings light to it)

What's funny is there was a childhood friend romance story, turns out they weren't a virgin, like "How?", just didn't make sense

An innocent mind in the body of a whore/murderer is still innocent, they don't have intent, nor experience, best redemption for the body would be a widow/widower and justified killing, less innocent? Don't think so, you have to do both
Everyone is born innocent, only exemptions to accountability are rape victims/accidental murder, it's bad, but nothing can be done
Innocent can't see guilty as equal, only worse, there's no issue with innocence, degrading innocence degrades everyone, there'll always be new innocents, often, reason why someone's guilty is mismanagement of values, immaturity, "S-a/c/r"
ch3 "as always" is redefined by ch111, ch10 led you to believe unjust killing, ch111 what it really means is "as always" every mission she's having sex, generational whore, "conflict" of fmc and mmc, how she always does it, why it's the "toughest" mission so far, cause can't whore as easily
(ch111 mitigates with "only one client", shows only one page, client dies anyway (pity? or woman thought process of externally eliminating sources of envy), and has it for a "greater good" in her eyes, but, this is ONE mission (also had sex with baba), how many missions total? could be countless, funny, lore drop all of them please, show page after page her whoring out, that's reality, hilarious, worst fmc ever, then she's shy on ch100, yea, right (Seriously, might be MOST whorish fmc ever))
(Real life example, why ch111 is a "cheating" point, stories of partner "wants space" or to "take a break", really, nothing stops them from doing that, stop seeing each other, what's stopping them, is guilt they're in a relationship, so, when they seek sex they'll be considered a cheater, this is ch111, he wasn't "with" her, so it's not "cheating", but point still stands, she's irredeemably perverse)
(fmc's embarrassed for both, loveless whoring with Baba, and using it with guy, which degrades ch100 to being meaningless, she's always shy? awful writing, purely childish, caring means she enjoyed both times, she's a whore, sex doesn't carry love as it should, her sex is loveless, as such she'll also be pervertly critical of the given love, not grateful)
(Being properly intimate, care and trust, you won't wake up next to your partner and go "Oh god, why did we do that, what were we thinking, that was so embarrassing", like seriously, the author's a child)
(This was the lamest way to subvert the "virgin sex demon" premise, a fucking flashback, another point to the "happened"s not "happen"s theme this story loves)
(ch40 "this bitch" is of pride, not self-respect, changed from "I don't deserve to be treated like this" to "I deserve the best" with ch111 (and church finds out she's a demon... and doesn't do shit, viewer can't hope for good though, no trust))

Feels like ch111's purpose was to contrive viewer hate, but it ruins viewer trust, which ruins the hate
Ch40 Asmodeus mentions "How many fates", also redefined, fmc doesn't answer, and "so rude" by fmc to Asmodeus, not wanting to be seen as a sexual object, changes from "that's rude to gravure" to rude to fmc, as that's fmc's entire purpose
(Asmodeus "You're lying about needing protection" is again, leading the viewer astray, conveniently doesn't mention past)
(Story could've started with that, immortal lying whore makes traumatised honest priest want sex, that's all it boils down to, but I mean, we know why it didn't, because it's a shit premise, "Oh well, he should find someone better", that's all it is (Conveniently paints fmc as victim in ch10, conveniently never shows ch111 as flashback even though it loves flashbacks, could've shown viewer, but not main guy, betrayal of viewer))
(Still hoping Asmodeus and mmc get together, she's actually more honest than fmc, and her reason to raping him is to win him, she literally just wants him, fmc just does it cause she's a whore)
Ch48 "choice" was retarded, but it mentions those at the end of the night end up together, so I hope he does actually end up with Asmodeus, she also literally sees her first love in him
(Maybe this was the purpose for ch111, contriving viewer hate, so Asmodeus makes sense, then it's gonna do the whole "Asmodeus is evil!" and he goes back to fmc, ffs)

Not sure how it defines sex, is it of love? ch3/ch111 no, but ch100 yes, I don't think the story understands itself, it's not self-aware, fmc's "I don't understand love" might very well be a projection of the author

Many points it could've commented, even if it's wrong, or tries to answer it in its own way, better than none
(I can't think of any meaningful takeaway)
-Hedgehog dilemma, everyone you become intimate with, will hurt that much more when either lose each other, one to die, in a way, gets off easy (or in general you have to be honest to gain trust, and it may hurt to be, vulnerable to be)
-On religion, those who do good because: they're good vs told to do good
-ch111 I THINK what it's trying to say about sex (why it's so confusing, it's retarded, is) pro-"sex worker" anti-"sex client", fmc client and Baba rapists are the "bad clients", but fmc and baba are the "good workers", this is the stance that makes most sense to me, a purely hypocritical stance, VERY womanly written
(It's another "progressive" point I think)
-Fmc becomes self-aware, regrets, is honest and wants forgiveness from him, absolute forgiveness is only possible with absolute truth, what you don't confess can't/isn't forgiven
(Demons uniquely most redeemable, requires greatest effort, most badass ("Paarthurnax quote"))

There's no tangible growth of the main character, rips out his eye, so? Dunno, he bleeds from it sometimes
Gains power during school and lucifer? I think? By how much? Don't know
Any power gains mean nothing because there's no reference of power
(Big issue, you can't care about what you don't know, more "intimate" you are with something, more you can care)
(Issue with ch111, what do we know of fmc? She does art, she doesn't have power, she's a demon, I can't name anything, I can't care about anything)

No characters doubt anything, affiliation, who they care for, don't even confront themselves there's so little confrontation, CSM Power or JJK Geto are good examples (Power doubts herself, Geto doubts affiliation)
No one interacts with each other, also my issue with "Bugle", what characters thinks of each other is very synonymous, there's no JJK Choso

Cliffhangers can be good, but, these are for retards, who actually thinks the MAIN character is going to die 115 chapters in, he's in the fucking title, it's like the end of "Han Solo" trailer baiting whether Chewbacca dies, really, a prequel
At least if he's gonna gain power or something show his hand glow

Let me guess, not actually going to fight Satan, last fights haven't even been fights, Sloth wasn't, Pride wasn't, so Baba might be the last proper fight, he fought Lust, Greed, Envy, Lust, Glut, or, fmc fights Baba from some power she gained, still, retarded, it's so contrived "Oh finally I got my power right when I need it", or is going to do a "heartbreak" leads to her power unleashing, as she's never loved before
(Lilith is probably "love" demon, as Asmodeus is "lust", maybe fmc is Lilith if not girl frozen in hell, maybe sex demons deeply seek love, who cares though, this shit should've been established way earlier, use buildup, tension, not this lame twist shit)
(Satan's plan could've been foreshadowed, even if a misunderstanding, tales or anything would've been better than nothing)

Glut, as far as I can remember, is the most "pure evil" character, I can't remember anything, except they want to consume, I do remember, them talking with Asmodeus, I do wish there was a silent pure evil, like Darkness from CSM

I did mention I was curious about
-his heart being locked
-frozen girl in hell
Then said I don't care if love is sin, it may sound contradictory, but if this story tries to define love as the greatest sin, it's gotta be the worst fucking story ever, that's what I mean
What I want is his heart maybe being related to him not being able to love himself, he has to fix himself
Frozen girl is actually Satan's family, not lover, a sister is a more unique dynamic, maybe a "family first" guy, haha, family guy (Could tie into "You wouldn't get it", but Sloth was kind of like family, so mmc is able to relate)

I do find "Why didn't this work? (Why don't I like it?)" interesting, I mostly wrote all this to get my thoughts together, if someone reads it, cool, I wasn't able to write everything I wanted though, 15k characters limit
Other experimental: "This is fine" "Pure 0.01mm" "JK Haru" "Meguro", good "what if?"s, but are shit
(This is fine, animals whoring, 0.01, he cheats, JK Haru, agency retcon, Meguro, retarded)
(Proofs removing innocence can't improve someone)

I do repeat a lot of what I say, that's me
Happy I didn't start this in 2021, pays to not be a fan
*Asterisks are related

-Jobber villains
*-Main character ruined 111 chapters in (4 years in)(not tragedy, drama, read above)
-"Bigger plan" always at play (never in unknown territory)
*-"Bigger planner", X, used as contrivance scapegoat (how? somehow X did it)
-Unintimate romance (moments aren't lived in, if you can call them that, ch100)
-Consequence free combat (plot armour for all)
*-Premise subversion untwisted for no reason
-Flashbacks galore ("happened"s more than "happen"s)(*ch111 redeems ch10 flashback outcome really)
-Little worldbuilding (powers, hell/demons, witches, Nephilim is demon/human child)
-Cliffhangers with no hype (no "Oh shit", just "Ok, so?")
-Told to care, treated otherwise (ch100 vs ch111)
*-Shoujo drama (immature, reactive, petty)
-"Church bad, demon good" (very "modern", how about Islam?)
-Little interactions (What does Y think of Z? Probably same as everyone, or never met)
-Little flaws and growth (perfect prince cutout, and "flawless" other (*))
-Possibly poor handling of trauma (If he's "fixed" at the end, it's shit)
-Possibly no tragedy (no one dies, likely, given no consequences so far)
*-Possibly most whorish fmc ever, literally ever, immortal, "as always" does "missions", don't know amount, 115 chapters in
*-Possibly "Sex worker good" "Sex client bad" (very "modern", hypocritical, each rely on other, both are bad)

*-Ch3,10,38/100 to ch111 (3/10:"Just like me", "As always", Thoughts/flashback of liar, 38/100:Mirrors, 111+: "Mission", How? X)
BUT
+Art is amazing, very very good (Asmodeus' design is superb, and tons of detail throughout)
Read ch111, then decide if you want to read rest (Besides that, left comment on ch115 talking about some stuff)
Edit: (Doesn't help I wrote this super tired, tons of typos I found)

Shame what happened to this story.
I'm waiting for this finale

(Seriously though, nobody's died, he's converted Lucifer, what is his "fight" with Satan even gonna be)
Edit:Ch116 comment (keeps getting predictably worse)

Catching back up on this after falling off at like 80 or 90 and boy the story has really taken a nosedive hasn't it. I'm fine with things being dark but they have to be dark with intent and well written at that, everything now just feels like pointlessly edgy despair porn. Like borderline Crossed level of why bother. And yeah while the guy above me should probably take a few weeks off i do agree that this is a weird retcon for Imuri's character, it could have been written in a way like she's lying to the Priest but it feels more like the mangaka either forgot or doesn't care.
