Understanding how a world works is not the same as accepting how it works. We had a glimpse earlier in the series about how the demi-humans are treated with Eve who was sold in slavery, but also with Nyantan who Vicius saw as nothing but an inferior. If the head of the world acts like this with demi-humans, you can't expect anything else from those who works for her. Until this point we just had short moments about how demi-humans are treated in this world, but the next arc will go much further in that aspect.

Also, understanding how a world works and how the big heads of this world works mean you can anticipate what your enemy will do. Even if you met them for a few minutes.

Somebody else asks an interesting question : why wouldn't it be better to just let the Demon King destroy the world with how trash it is. The real question is : is this world worth saving ? Are every big heads in this world as bad as Vicius or are there good people living it ? Neah's Princess looks like a good person, Seras is a good person as well.

I haven't read the source novels, so I'm just guessing here, but my current theory is that the bitch-goddess and the demon king are working together to keep themselves amused with the horror and brutality their factions can inflict.

I'm assuming she's immune for the same reason she's protected from Touka's status infliction, and if anything I'd expect her to be the superior with the Demon King as her subordinate.

Slaves were expensive, it's just stupid to damage your own property , in the same way that common sense dictates that you would train a dog by kicking him , mistreating a slave goes against common sense.

The USA to this day is still dealing with the cultural history of racist slave owners who treated their slaves of a different race as trash, and many to this day still see the former slave ethnicities as beneath them.

You can't say people didn't treat their slaves badly, that doesn't make sense when within the last 200 years we got racists making up shit like "well their skulls are shaped a certain way so they are the inferior primitive beings compared to us" (Phrenology), and we still got those racist people today.

Like read a book, European slave owners colonies in Africa were exactly like this but even worse. Look up Leopold 2 of Belgium, guy got 10 million people killed because of this same attitude you think only happens in fictional manga.

Human beings IRL will be this exact kind of scum, and we don't even need magic in our world or actually completely different fantasy races like elves/demihumans/etc to do it.

I had a hypothesis several chapters back that she is actually a highly evolved human faced monster and summoning heroes has a couple benefits.

First, it gives her control of the situation so she can point the efforts of the summoned away from herself, also why previous heroes have been banished to that dungeon of disposal where she first sent Touka when they become too strong.

Second is that the she is on the boundary with the demon territory which means the other kingdoms consistently pour money and resources her way and she can maintain her lifestyle and power.

Now my last thought on her is that she may gain experience from killing the heroes once they have gained enough experience themselves which would be why she would cultivate the strong, encourage their growth, and would dispose of any that have no value or could be a hindrance to her with no remorse rather than just expelling them to a regional city or a different kingdom.

Maybe I'm way off base, but it makes too much sense in my head.
