This is such a slog to read. I read because of the interesting monsters and enemies to be honest. Like Jinmen and Attack on Titan, it's decent in that regard.

The author writes like they have never interacted with women, and there are so much cringe moments, most of all their interactions feel so alien just to make the MC be admired by women.

The biggest thing that pisses me off is why Eve is staying human. You would think she would take pride of being beastkin. The device is meant to conceal her to the public and attract less attention and not reveal her identity, so why is she wearing it in private? Just so readers can have another big titty anime girl? It's so pathetic man.

Man. I have to go watch Frieren just to cleanse my palate, it's hard to find anime that puts actual respect to characters and writing. Too bad these revenge, harem, Marie Sue self insert, escapism, power fantasy types are what rakes in money.

Outside of the fact Eve probably didn't notice she was still in human form, there's a symbolic reason why she stays human for a little longer. As shown at the end of the chapter, it's the end of the journey for her. So her coming back to her normal leopard form is a symbol of the end of her journey.

By the way, Touka is far from being a Mary-Sue.
