Why are those gods send people to kill a baby then?
Judging from our own Goddess, who didnt seem to know,...none of them might even know.
Guess whoever they all take orders from wants the baby dead for some reason but lied to them about it all. Maybe the baby is the true ruler and some fraud is doing all this by faking that the baby is evil.
It was explained awhile back that the Goddesses lost access to their food source (whether it had to be active prayers and worship or just acts in line with their portfolio, I can't remember the specifics there), so they stopped their own wars against each other to turn to the Demon Lord who basically plugged up the hole, as far as they knew. That was actually the whole point of the fashionista arc with the dark elves, so that the Goddess of Love was able to absorb offerings to her as food, because she was starving.
Given her reaction here, she (and I'd bet most of the other goddesses) probably thought it was being actively done by a hostile entity, rather than what seems to instead be just a passive effect of his existence (I'm wondering if he's taking in that divine energy to grow, himself? Or is it just being plugged by his existence? Or is it all a lie by the one who orchestrated this all and convinced the goddesses to do this, given what we learned in the Desert arc about how they keep decimating portions of continents and leaving them lifeless).
Kind of a different situation though.
If you go back in time and KNOW this specific baby grows up to be literally Hitler that's one thing that can be argued about.
100% disagree, because there are a million other things you can do throughout time to change them becoming who we know as Hitler in the end. Like, hell, find someone who would appreciate his paintings (he was a pretty good painter, just for snapshots of landscapes and buildings) and let him continue his creative impulses in that direction. Don't gotta immediately resort to murder of an innocent before they've even thought about let alone actually committed a crime.
This situation is "Yeah uh this random baby? Kill it". No actual context on if the baby is even remotely at fault at any point in the past, present or future.
Jinguuji is just being far too blinded with this honestly.
This situation is "The demon lord is just a baby, not an actively plotting mastermind behind everything". It throws a wrench into the mix, but the basic formula that they've been told, "Demon Lord = root cause of everything" can still be thought of as potentially applicable, where as I noted above the baby is still actively doing something just by existing; just unfortunately happens to be an infant and doesn't consciously know it's doing it. Or at least those are reasonable assumptions to make, if one doesn't stop to think about the details I noted above.
