While reaching out is always a good thing, you can otherwise ignore Xyzzy here. There's this weird fraction of readers that supports this idea of someone or a group having a monopoly on a series because of the efforts of groups like Jaimini's Box to claim ownership of popular series through subterfuge and deception, and thus secure their revenue streams, and has also propagated since off of shitty groups like ComicDom or other individuals/groups who use unedited (or very poorly edited) MTL, which is actually actively worse and should be shunned. Otherwise, multiple groups or people should be encouraged to give their own translations if they want.

Also, wanted to say- your work here was great.
Thank you! I understand I think, but I would definitely feel better if I knew that the group that's been handling this release was okay with it. They're the reason I've been able to comfortably read so much of the series, so I wouldn't want them to feel undercut or disrespected (regardless of my intentions).

There doesn't appear to be an easy way to contact the group or its members, and the account that's used to let the sub-reddit know about new chapters doesn't seem to be used actively. I only put this together because it's a couple of weeks past when they would normally release, so I wasn't sure if they've had to pause for a moment (due to life circumstances or otherwise). That's to say, I've reached out in the only (iffy) way that I can find and I'll wait a bit for a response. If I don't see any response to my message or some activity in a reasonable period of time, then I will continue with the next chapter.

The goddess of love promised to grant a wish after they won.

The father, on the other hand grants her a wish for his daughters' mess.

So technically there should be 2 wishes then?

One from the goddess of love and one from their father.

So… the clone Jinguuji is the one that Tachibana loves? So now what will happen to- man, I can’t wait for the next part to clear all this up. It’s so messy when you think too much on it.

This is how I understand it: from what we've been told recently, the 12 goddesses summoned the 'Heroes' without their father's knowledge because they were supposed to succeed by working together. This immature decision led them to make promises that they can't keep to motivate the 'Heroes', likely by gambling that their father will be happy enough with their success that he helps them out (which he is complaining about here).

In other words, the father made the daughters go do a team-building exercise because they won't stop fighting all the time. Since they don't like each other, they hired a bunch of people to do it for them and pinky promised that the one who shone the brightest would get a big reward (somehow). The father is now cranky because the "somehow" is him and now he has to deal with this random person his daughter pulled off of the street being brought to his house to collect the reward. He did feel moved by how it was accomplished in spite of this though, so the combination of awe and crankiness leads him to begrudgingly give the reward with some nasty stipulations.

Personally, I feel like Tachibana going back to be with the real Jinguji would be the best ending for them. There was a hard price to pay, it was paid, there's weight to those actions, and going forward will be a new adventure (even if not written out for us).

Allowing Tachibana to have their cake after they eat it just feels like it undercuts what's happened.

Oh well, let's see how this ends.

Well, Jinguuji on earth didn't yet grow to have romantic love to Tachibana, still friend and familial love, so I think that's fine.

Yeah, but it seems the goddesses themselves are powerful enough to grant wishes as well if they have access to their original powers.

That's why I said that it's still a good idea to reach out, for your own peace of mind! Heck, they could be experiencing some trouble with a group member and might ask you to work with them; seen that happen plenty of times (also plenty of times where "work with" very quickly became "take over").

To make things clear- my stance against the (falsely engineered) concepts of sniping and monopolies of scanlation groups isn't out of some disrespect for the work that any particular group has done. Used to be you had 5, 6, sometimes more groups or individuals who would be doing their own translation of a work simultaneously with their own proclivities, and you read as many or as few variations as you wanted; some would be speed groups doing a fast scan with LQ raws but they'd get the general gist; others would take longer but get a more comprehensive translation. Then you'd get groups that would do aspects like redrawing all the SFX or decensoring, and similar. There were different brands of flavours and you could pick and choose what you liked. Nowadays, by contrast, it's pretty much just one flavour, maybe two, and it's mostly just because of those two concepts causing people to shy away from working on something they want to work on (and also people harassing them for working on it, too, sadly).
