So releasing a chapter of a manga another group is working on is already kind of iffy, but the gap between chapters doesn't help at all. I appreciate Smoof's work on other titles, but here, just... why?

@luminary What part of this is a dick move, forgive my rudeness but I did this so that the manga could have something rather than nothing if the group is on break or something and I did this because I was trying to help out and I am sure as hell that I didn't mean any malice towards anyone and/or anything. For all I know, their translation could be better than mine and I wouldn't mind that. If you want more context on the situation then here's a reply I made to a guy who asked about the chapter.

@Smoof the dick move part is that not only are you not asking @PyroShield and the rest of his group mate whether they are still continuing this series (and maybe if you think they are too slow, ask them to collab with you or something) but you also didn't do the chapter in order and are just skipping far ahead. While it might not be your intention, skipping and scanlating random chapters of an actively translated series feels like a trollish behaviour, and it IS a signature move of some certain troll scanlators.

I'm sure you'll agree that it would be annoying if for example another scanlation group suddenly translated some random future FSF chapter, especially one that you are currently working on.

Before I say anything, I would like to apologize for saying “how is this a dick move” and how I should’ve agreed upon that fact but my emotion caught up to me. I can agree on that fact entirely that I didn’t ask their permission but at the time I did not know that. I also can say that I knew this would happen but it was too late for me to retract this bonus chapter so I had to do it knowing that they posted their chapter the day I revealed it was going to be Salem and also that I was going to post this with an asshole feeling which I won’t deny. But I do have neutral standpoint if it happened to me because if they post a random chapter, they must have a reason for doing so and my approach is to acknowledge it and either put my take on the chapter or post a chapter that’s after it. Sure it may come off as if I’m an ignorant man or arrogant one but I can assure you I’m just an accepting man but I would like to apologize to the @PyroShield and his group that I didn’t consult with them in the first place and I want to know how they’ll deal with this sort of thing. I had my good willed intentions for doing this but I hope that you can forgive me for doing such a thing.

@Smoof Intentions matter not once an action is done. Especially without any sort of consultation towards our group or for the reasons why our chapters have not been as prolific as we had initially been as.
