This is disappointing. It would actually be scary if it were just a random guy impersonating his friend.

A more realistic horror would be people who are still wearing masks releasing their frustration on those who have been way too casual about masking at the height of the pandemic. Though I guess in this story, the virus/ghost caught up to the guy.
