So far I was in the hero side on everyone deserving all the bad that could get to them and I get the Princess is not all that better but did she really do anything to deserve he celebrating her death like that?

the way i see MC's personality the reason he reacted like that to lanuvals death is probably that he doesnt really consider her a real person?
essentially she's an annoying, nagging NPC that dragged him into pointless sidequests for more NPCs and for someone with no empathy for anyone he doesnt consider real anything that gets rid of an "annoyance" is a good thing.
too bad she essentially reigned in the other party members and her being gone made them a thousand times more unbearable

@CivilSky As for MC's problem with Lanuvel, he absolutly hates her personality. He preseves her as a stupid person who blindly idolises the hero without thinking, that "plays cute" to get his attention. You could say that MC would like her if she would shut up more often and show him less of her blind love/admiration to him. The part about useless sidequests and geting more NPC's wasn't a problem for him the first time, becouse he didn't know about the special instructors yet and saw it as somewhat usefull in order for him to kill the demon lord and get home.
@mahtan @monkey123 Lanuvel is no princess she is more like a free lancing mage that got hierd to summen the hero, while at the some time resiving a lot of trust from the people.

I do not say they can't be its just that the apperens of the "great beeing" + how MC interacts with it is just to good and also how the hero gets an absured power by simply observing how this slime lives its normal everyday live

Nice way for the author to basically say there’s no need to kill Lanuvel because despite how much MC dislikes her personality, she’s still far more useful to him than the other party members.
I also like how the elf princess storyline was handled and justified. The MC may be a piece of shit, but if we were working with benefit vs loss, instead of morales and “goody points”, then the benefits of her death at that point far outweighs the loss.

Imagine everyone around you being a piece of shit to you, treating you like crap at best, and then you have her, the one that while isnt as bad as the others grates on your nerves all the same.
I can easily see why he hated her, its not hard to see it, but death worthy? this time around he has none of the other pains prodding him.

MC definitely hasn't learned anything, determined to act selfish and arrogant just like the people he hates, and completely misses the Instructor's lessons and point. At this rate even if he immediately defeated the Demon King he's going to get another redo. Poor Porter, the instant MC gets an item bag or equivalent skill he's going to end up murdered for Experience Points despite all his help and devotion. Bit disappointing how other than Lanuvel the party members were only good for battles and not only useless for camping, but weren't interested in learning how and expected the MC to do it for some reason. Instructor will have to directly tell them that he's worse than his party members because he's not only acting just as bad as them, but worse because knows how it feels to be on receiving end and sees others only as Experience Points, not people. Should've done some adventures to help out to find out what Porter can do and increase party co-operation and teamwork. Unfortunately MC only worries about himself and things that benefit him so high chance will get into a situation he can handle well, but will end up getting Porter and Fluvel killed with MC complaining about the loss of Experience and having to do his own daily stuff himself.

@mahtan He just resents his situation so much that she became the manifestation of the cruel fate that befell him. As the summoner she was the start of his journey and therefore she is the catalyst for everything that came after. Its not entirely fair but given how he was treated by the royals and such, as if he was indebted to them for the kidnapping, he lost any understanding he might have had.
She became this idea before he understood anything about the gods or anything. So now its stuck in his mind even though if he thought about it he might be able to reason her out of his shit list. He on some level would know its not her fault, but it can't be helped since this whole adventure is a traumatic experience for him and she's definitely fanning the flames from what we can see.

i personally really hate those party members from his first life. they're all so annoying and bitchy god if i was him i would've killed them too (but been more discreet about it).
the elf princess is super stuck up and conceited, typical bitch, the swordsman is a plain bully who picks on the weak, so far haven't found a reason to hate blue haired magician so she seems decent. blond healer lady, whatever her name was, is just stupid and useless, with what we've seen of her so far she's like an annoying bug that clings onto you and leeches off your success.
