the random staggering of the chapters released just now makes me wonder, why exactly are they? As in, what makes them (the delays) exist? They are unlikely to be intentional as the interval seems pseudo-random, so that makes me wonder if the process of uploading a chapter actually requires an annoying amount of hoops to jump through that takes a couple of minutes? Or maybe it is some kind of moderation-delay that has to verify each (I know mangadex has done this a lot recently, as stuff goes unavailable supposedly for that reason)?

And no, I got no clue why I got curious about something that should be so inconsequential to me as a reader, I just did :d

@feha pretty sure the mod thing is for new accounts, and this user has already been uploading since a while ago, so it's safe to assume it has to do with the scanlation team wanting to generate traffic (nothing new really) to their website.

Damn! A month's delay is a bit much. Do know we dont have much right to complain, but considering it was up for so long on the scanlation site, most manga aggregators might've ripped it off by the 2-3rd day.

Yeah Reaper scans tend to do this weird thing where they'll upload normally for a while with likely a slight delay after releasing on their site and then go for a month or two with no releases on MD for any of their series before doing a mass upload of everything.

I don’t get why leveling up is such a bother. Demon king has his debuff. And MC defeated the demon king just fine the first time.

@4V29LN0n: The problem is, that the demon king's strength is being scaled to hero's level. The higher the hero's level is, the more of the DK's powers can be unleashed by him.

Even worse seems to be, that it looks like he is meant be fought in a group. As the hero's group is around the hero's level, when they arrive at the endbattle, it is a close and challenging fight, which can only be won by the power of friendship.
MC won the first time around, because he got a glimpse of the teachings of slime-sensai. Even though the constant healing (exp-leeching) and sadistic antics of his comrades kept his level at bay, his 10 year combat experience (the real one, not the points awarded by the system) and those acquired slime cheat abilities gave him the edge over his own party and made it possible for him to slay them. Demon King was also scaled to MC's high (yet not world breaking) level and was overpowered by that edge.
But that advantage becomes less significant as he levels up. So facing the DK is far more troublesome, if his level skyrockets, than it he would be, if he just faces him with level 15. In former case he would have to battle him for hours in an all out face-off, while in later case, MC would just use his pumped up arms to slam the DK's head through the next wall withing the first few moments.

@Qelix Is it really a spoiler? I thought he killed his party to get some levels. I guess the novel explains it better. To bad there's no good translation of it.

@4V29LN0n: It's what I puzzled together. As I understood it, he killed them, because he either really wanted to see their blood dripping from his sword or he believed they would fall into his back after they dealt with the DK. (Thought the later wasn't stated and we have been left of with the strong impression, that the former is true.) Maybe he did it to gain levels for the fight with the endboss, as you said, but later on he discovers, that the demon kings strength is related to his level. That much is true.

I have to confess, that the thing about the demonking being meant to be a party raid is just speculation, but it would fit into the "friendship" setting. Now I tell you a real spoiler: Much later in the story he levels up tremendously (he couldn't avoid it, I believe) and the DK wiped the floor with him.

@feha These chapters were actually uploaded on reaperscans a month ago and there have been no updates since, weird that they only got up on mangadex 3 days ago lol
