They were wearing ski masks, so she’d only be able to give descriptions of their general builds and Naoko’s voice. Who knows if she’d be able to connect the other two with the guests she welcomed into her home not too long ago too, since the lights were all off when they did their home invasion.

I imagine the only reason why the mom was left alive was for the kid hacker’s sake, and the swindler too, I suppose, just not to affect those two’s willingness to help too much.
