No? Try fighting with the handicap of worrying you'll lose your eyesight from your opponent just slapping away your glasses, or potentially having the shit shatter on you."Glasses are dangerous if you are going to join the fighting class"
Is that a joke? Contact Lenses are much more dangerous -.-
It's probably a mistranslation since they mentioned the Gracie family who founded modern BJJ.I'm pretty sure Judo was based on Jiu Jitsu...
I mean saying weight class doesn’t matter is very popular bjj saying. Also it doesn’t specifically say size and strength give no advantageHeel hook from that position targeting the ankle, instead of the knee? Size and strength giving no advantage? No weight class advantage on the ground? What has this author been smoking?
@Grandork A lot less dangerous than glasses, that's for sure. And yeah, they can get dislodged by pressure, get lodged behind your orbitals and prolly lose you the match if it does, but to my knowledge (don't need glasses) nothing more dangerous than that. At best you get an infection, if you start fishing for it in the ring. With glasses and gloves you get blinded.
To be fair in the same chapter, the dude literally says size and strength aren’t important lolI mean saying weight class doesn’t matter is very popular bjj saying. Also it doesn’t specifically say size and strength give no advantage
