I have to say I like it when a wuxia translator translates the rank names. It makes them a bit easier to remember if you don't know Chinese. If you do know Chinese, you'd be reading the raws anyway.

@Kaarme Even after 242 chapters of reading this and going between it and the ranks page on the wiki, you do forget after a bit just because of how often it seems to change between the English and the Chinese, so it's appreciated that they did remind me of that (I'm also like you in how I prefer something like Dou Ancestor over Dou Zong); was just funny to me.

Yeah. Reading something like Renegade Immortal, the translated rank names are actually really cool. They sound cool and are descriptive. Even if I simply memorised the Chinese terms, they would still mean little in my mind, no more than names, so it would be different from good sounding translated names (assuming the originals in Chinese make any more sense, of course, which probably isn't universal in all wuxia).
