I would like an option to the advanced search which allows you to filter by a minimum (or maximum) number of chapters.
If "only with translate chapters in language" is selected, then only counting the number of chapters in that language.
Alternatively the metric counted could be pages.
I want this feature primarily to sort away manga with few chapters, I usually want to read something with a substantial number of published chapters, so this feature would save me a lot of time, and I hope other readers here would appreciate it too.

I don't even care about per language. Just deduped per volume x ch number permutation alone (ignoring 2.1,2.2,2.3 etc subchapters), just run any of those subchapters as one chapter count (2full+2.1+2.2+2.3= 1 chapter count). Perfect shouldn't be enemy of the good here... Add per language later, add more advanced later..

Of course some manga are lovely and have really long chapters. If you want an alternative, add a user feedback section where it asks "how long did this manga take to read?" in hours and have it be a floating average of all user submissions younger than a year old, if not null or out of reasonable tolerance parameters. Then have that hour metric searchable.

Something tho

that won't work, because sometimes there are legit "Full" chapters numbered that way. The one that comes to mind is a shitty reincarnated isekai about a sharpshooter (will update this post if I find it) which had a Chapter X.1 through X.10

If only publishers and mangaka didn't have bat shit insane chapter and volume numbering then "good" might be enough.

What? How would this even work for series that are not completely translated? Also what would this new metric solve?

1 & 2) Still sppear as perfect antagonizing the good; exceptions make the rule. I haven't come across a weird numbering yet after reading ~50 adventure manga in English. Maybe in other genres it is more prevalent.

3) It's just a basic idea of crowdsourcing amount of content available. At least it would get rid of those with 7 chapters with 3 pages each when filtering. It will have mixed lengths per translation, and some English chapters maybe number single digits while Japanese numbers double, but those will be there even without the feature to begin with.
