Not to push my glasses up here, but aCkTcHuAlLy the heart is in the center of the chest, it's just that there is a piece of it that sticks off to the left side. It's an extremely common misconception that the heart is on the left side

And depending on how fast/hard the heartbeat is, you could probably feel at least something on the edges towards the center of the chest.
