Officially licensed by Yen Press. Simupublished on Crunchyroll last I checked.

I want to like this series as it has high quality art and a final fantasy world but the main character is annoying and the whole world revolves around him -- other characters only exist to make him look cooler and never get their own moments even among his actual party members. Additionally the author kills off characters solely for shock value, and the rules of the world are inconsistent and don't make sense half the time.

A real shame.

Unless I want to buy copies for my library, it'll be hard to keep up with this series.

There's the Manga Up! app, but it has such a frustrating system to it, where you can only read about a chapter's worth for free at a time per day and each chapter is divided into 3-4 parts. And of course, in-app currency/microtransactions are an option too... which is icky. I wish they just went for a baseline subscription model for the base app as Viz did.

And I did check Crunchyroll, and you need to have a premium subscription to read each chapter. Which... no.

I wish I could read it here because I'm vaguely interested enough to read the updates from here as I knew about them, but now after I catch up, I can't say I'd feel interested enough unless I start buying the manga itself at some point (which is an option, but it'll be a while and there's manga I consider a higher priority).
