This chapter felt rushed. In game, it was quite bad (the execution of the scene) and the manga does it a lot better. But still - somehow everything is just so fast: there is e.g. only one small panel of veyle teleporting (?) to marnis corpse and then back again. Like, a half page detailed panel of veyles shocked face upon seeing her dead (without her being literally by her side) and then immediately letting zephia act would have conveyed both the tragedy as well as the urgency of the situation better.
