So in the end, Maki wasn't calling herself fat. Neither her dad and brother. They were talking about how she looks "beefy". Makes sense lol.

I'm not sure if I've ever seen anyone say this, but everyone in this manga is so weird. Everyone acts robotic it feels in a way, or the dialogue doesn't feel that genuine. The way the eyes are upturned every so often like with Takigi on page 10 this chapter is just not right. It's just had this offputting feeling for a while, or possibly from the beginning. I didn't read Soul Eater so I'm not sure if this is just present in this manga, or in most/all of the mangaka's works.

i know this was 6-7 years ago lol but its definitely a problem with these translations, the official english reads much smoother and real, actually like how people would talk to each other in real life (also MUCH more accurate)
