@TheLord there is a chance VIZ might use the same translation as this one, and apparently this one still available but not easy to get so it doesn't yet qualify for ex-license, we'd rather wait till the viz version is out to make the jump.

It would seem like Viz is doing an entirely new translation or one based on the eonebook versions. As judging from the back of the cover on the amazon listing they're going to be definitely translating the SFX. Make of that what you will.

With the cover page shown on the amazon page its clearly that viz is doing the Ultimate Edition from Tokuman Shoten which is an 18 kyūkyokuban volume edition and from the wiki it features all the pages from both, the tankōbon and kanzenban edition, has new cover artwork by Tetsuo Hara himself for each volume, as well as a new 30th anniversary-themed chapter titled Hokuto no Ken: Last Piece, which is included in Volume 11.

Since viz has the tendency to do one volume every three months for all their perfect editions or similar sounding editions for no particular reason (though hardcover printing is a bit in the ass to print), it'll be finished in september 2025 (according to the timeanddate.com calculations).
Still wondering how the japanese print two of these each month, maybe viz and the print distributor can learn a thing or two from them. 🙃

I know it probably won't happen, but I'd be happy if they gave the JoJo treatment to this franchise (i.e remake the anime).

All they had to do was remove fillers, remove the repetitive "killing baddie of the day" episodes and only keeping a few of those and the most relevant ones and also do some adjustments to the part 2 of the story (Ashura Land) and then we'd have a blast.

Because this story is MANLY and beautiful, there's moments that make you shed MANLY tears.
