Thanks for catching us up. You know, I'm curious. The TL is actually approved by the original creator, so why did DMCA apply?

Because Kodansha sucks ass, but not as much as Shueisha, whom took down so much manga that didn't even have translated releases. Among those that are and are readable online, some were region-locked, so you couldn't even pay for their services either way lmfao

That place is also at risk and is on the radar in the last few weeks. Downloading chapters is the way to go.

For the past few months I've been sort of building a local library in my PC by downloading chapters from manga I really, really like (like this one) from mangadex and batoto (using mihon) or mangakatana (where you can download up to 10 chapters at a time) and then writing a quick python script that sorts everything out, adds metadata to each entry in the library and to individual chapters, and saves it to my mihon directory in my phone for reading and my home PC for redundancy's sake. That's the best way to read/archive these things in my opinion.

It's either that or the entire TL community collectively decide to move on to cubari, but in that case, what makes it safe also makes it a pain for us readers to actually find working links.
