Indeed. It style is simpler and not as "shiny" as its peers in the genre but it also seems to be missing the overused 3D background, and foreground, assets of those peers as well, like that freaking castle and the playdough horses...
EDIT: It does have 3D assets, had to go back and check after commenting, but I didn't notice them as I often do on others. Also its only the 5th chapter, could be more and worse asset use later.
