I have equal hope and fear for this story based on the first 2 chapters setup. Feels like whether this story will be great or horrible well be decided with a coin flip on whatever happens next

Whenever you got a story about a boy questioning himself if he's actually a girl because he was being bullied for wanting to be feminine...

I think people should be aware there's one group who cheers this on because it gives them "rep"

I just feel like this manga is going in that direction.

Also Linkin this thread here since it's very relevant

whenever you see a chud hating on minorities because no one likes them in real life...

people need to be aware that putting people down for how they express themselves makes you a bad person

So, I have no issue with this being a BL story, or a trans story or anything like that. But can someone please just make this very clear for me... Is this a BL story or a standard romance? I'm only asking because if it's BL then it's missing the tag, and if it's not then I'm incredibly confused by the first two chapters thus far...

EDIT:
Okay, I read a few more chapters, and I seriously don't get where the author is trying to take this story... First, it's a guy that's crossdressing to get the romantic interest of his male friend out of jealousy (Sure, BL story setup), then MC's female friend actively says that she sees him as a girl which makes him start thinking about it more (Okay, so less BL story, more coming to terms with being trans. That's fair), then in the same chapter she just outright says that he couldn't possibly be gay, by saying "You like guys right? Doesn't that mean you're a girl" and answering his question about if he liked girls if that would make him a guy with "Yeah, that's how I see it"... I... What? Is this trying to be a BL story, a trans story, a finding yourself story? I don't get what this is trying to be at all... Like, I can get on board with any of those genre if the story is one of them, but it's trying to be all of them and none of them at the same time?

I think the author just doesn’t know what she really wants from the story. I’d suggest don’t think too much about gender and just focus on the story.

Regarding the BL tag, I vaguely remember it was there before. Maybe someone took it down Ig?

I wouldn't really focus on the gender too much if it weren't such a heavy focus to the story. I mean, yes, I appreciate the story telling and talking about the heavier subject matter with the bullying and all of that, but realistically it wouldn't even really be happening to the MC if their gender wasn't put into question.

Realistically speaking, yes they could tell a story about bullying with virtually any other focal point to lead into it and it would be fine, but this is built on the MC crossdressing, then acting more feminine, then for all intents and purposes transitioning, all while ignoring the possibility of just being gay or bi? It feels like the author wanted to write one story, and then changed her mind in the middle of it, only to change her mind again.

I want to be clear, I'm not saying that the story itself is bad. It's actually pretty decently written for what it is. But it feels very muddied with how the focus of the story keeps changing at the drop of a hat, which just makes the whole thing feel less interesting to read.

As for the BL tag, it is what it is really. I don't have a problem with it being there or not being there so long as it's actually tagged properly is all. If someone removed it, then they probably did so for a reason. If I'm honest, I feel like a different manga needs a pretty different tag than what it has, but this isn't that story lol
