It's time!! Here's some stuff to review before submitting!

Rules:

1. I don't expect anyone to participate, so only 16 submissions will be accepted. First come, first serve.

2. Contradicting my last statement, participants can only submit a maximum of 2 characters.

3. All submissions MUST be from a manga series. Anything else must be readable on MangaDex.

4. All characters submitted must be in the age range of 27-50 years old, while not being married. Also, no milfs.

5. No NSFW please

Submissions will close on August 31st, 12:00 PM EDT. If there's enough submissions by then, the submission limit may be increased to 30. Good luck!

Character: Yotsuba Maya (47)
Series: Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei. The problem with Mahouka in manga is that the novel volumes are split across several manga series, each with a different artist.

Sumire is, like, the most obvious and low-effort pick ever. And boy, does she suck. Her good qualities are more often than not overshadowed by her flaws.

You know this is a tournament submission thread, right? Where people submit characters who will compete against each other in an open vote? I'm just saying that Sumire is a pretty lazy pick.

I'm going bend the rules a bit by suggesting that the age range is for human characters, and other entries from races should be comparably aged with respect to their different lifespans... and then take advantage of this: Akane from Totsugi Okureta Kitsune ga Yome ni Kuru Hanashi. In human years, I'd put her in her mid thirties - she's old enough to have a fair bit more life experience than her younger sister (the FMC of the series), who is implied to be a Christmas cake herself.



She is technically a widow, with her husband having died on their wedding night (no, not from that), and hasn't tried to get back into a relationship since. She also has a mischievous side (like most tanuki) that comes out fairly frequently.



This gets balanced with her being exceptionally good at using various kinds of magic, to the point where she has at least one god trying to recruit her.

(Also this is another chance to plug this series - it really is very well written, and @sarusa and team have done an excellent job with their translation, so you should go read it.)

I'm a bit mixed since it's (probably) outside the age range and allowing it might open the floodgates for other submissions like this, but i'll read the manga a bit to see if it's valid or not
