At least with Pokemon, it's controlled and directed evolution. This is unguided and rampant evolution. I'm surprised they never evolved into a lump of cancer like one of the earlier chapters.

@sudzzuds: Kuhou Prime probably didn't survive the battle royale with her first batch of clones, and the mitosis cloning later on means that even if she was a result of the first division then there isn't really a copy or an original anymore.
