I wonder if what Fran learned here or samples taken from those tumors were used in her future endeavors? Like, its a rapidly growing limbs and organs that originate from one piece of flesh.
Elimate the unwanted traits and isolate the useful traits, the thing can be dead useful.

Tomie is a girl from junji ito's manga of the same name. ANY part separated from her will grow into a new Tomie if not thoroughly burned
