family lost theyr 'regenerating tree' and beside that, there no more human flesh at that point too, because of the fire.
I know that this is fiction manga, but if we think in lore - nuclear weapon can, in theory, kill them. (but if I remember correctly, in RE nuclear bomb don't do all the stuff too...)
