I guess the high school yuri genre is very limiting.. the whole premise relies on the chase, the MC goes through hopes and all to confess to the love interest. Then makes similar friends(recurring characters), after the Main couple’s confession, the plot then focuses on the next couple and the plot either continues with the same premise or just ends.. I guess the sales nature of the manga industry, really limits the romance genre..

I'm with you in general, there's definitely an overabundance of will-they-won't-they stories and not enough stories about actually dating. Though tbf this series isn't the worst about it, it seems like it plans on showing plenty of girlfriend fluff even if we're going to spend some time on the secondary pair too. And, like I commented on Guilty Library, I think we're starting to see a broad shift and more mid-relationship manga are getting published, especially yuri.
