@Doomroar. Front Mission never have a happy ending, every games have always a bittersweet ending including Front Mission 3 Alisa ending which I hope to be canon story. And it is my belief, that this arc will end up bitterly as well.

In my opinion, in Front Mission universe, a very very bitter victory is happened on Front Mission 1st OCU scenario, which the pilot Royd detonate his wanzer with his girlfriend CPU in it and when his story continued in Front Mission 2, he already become a global-wide wanted terrorist and mass murderer.

Front Mission 4 ended in a fairly happy ending. The Zaftran plot foiled, Darryl and co got their gold, and Elsa continues works in Durandal.

Well, that until i learned that Elsa got quite a severe PTSD afterwards but that was from supplamental material, isn't it? The game itself got quite happy end.
