she is annoying ill give you that mush but what would you have thought without context. the only reason she thinks what she thinks is because no one but those two and us the reader know what's happing in truth.so this misunderstanding is very possible and only the ribbon thing was cleared up with another lie. and even then pepole fear what they don't understand so if they spit out the truth its unknown what would happen.
that last bit was my own resining.
PS i sometimes play devils' avocet and understand when characters are trash.
