No big drama here, just cute wholesome vibes all the way through while maintaining the realistic awkwardness of middle schoolers in love. It’s fine that there was no kiss, they’re a bit young for that anyway, and things ended on a satisfying note. We got an established relationship manga that was fun and sweet, and not unnecessarily sexual just for fan service. This is often the difference between shonen romance and shoujo romance.
A 10/10 slice of life, romance manga.
One minor complaint is that Umeki (baseball guy) never responded to Ide’s confession, but to be honest, the side characters in this manga felt like more of a flavouring and thematic element rather than actual characters to be utilized. We never even get their full names, and it’s hard to remember who is who sometimes, so they’re not really meant to be fleshed out like that.
