This manga reminds me of everything wrong with this world and why i hate this world.
This is a dark and edgy manga clearly with controversial topics and content ... and its censored. Like WTF, seriously.
I liked this manga, id probably give it an 8 or 9 out of 10, but ef it im dropping this, not gonna waste time on censorship garbage just cause we live in a world of effing snowflakes.

I have continued reading this out of bile fascination at this point. It is edgy revenge slop to the highest level. Almost everyone in the entire word is incredibly evil outside of a few victims that lack power or bystanders too pathetic to really amount to anything. It is a setting where for any character could place a thought bubble above their head stating "Wow I can't decide if I like murder, rape, or torture more, I'm so glad I get to regularly do all three!' and it would likely be in character. This includes the MC who at this point uses the phenomenal cosmic power he's gotten from killing a few gods and stealing their stuff to mostly engineer situations so he can justify inflicting more hellish punishments or give his targets false hope so their suffering is sweeter. This one has probably gone on far too long at this point and has run into the problem of needing to come up with an excuse of why he can't just kill the remaining gods the way he killed the first couple.

I was certainly not expecting there to be redeeming backstories for antagonists.

I think this manga's main issue is, that at the start the shocking cruelty made an impact because it was just that, shocking. But by now we'v had 140 chapters of this same level of shocking cruelty, so at this point it doesn't do anything anymore. We know every possibility in this story is gonna be the worst, most hideous one out there. Ofcourse Vicky was gonna have a horrid past, they ALL DO. But that means nothing, when its ALL the same level of horrid.

Writer wrote themselves into a corner with a story that has no change to the level of horrid. So by now, the reader is like "okay, and?" when we learn Vicky's past. And thats the writer's fault. This comic has turned from an interesting, traumatic take on the hero being betrayed trope into just.. guro porn. Its not about telling a story anymore, its just about showing us the most grotesque options possible.

And sadly, that means I'll drop it. Because you can't have impactful horror without a counterbalance. Its like Hellraiser, when its all BDSM guro, it stops making you feel anything after a while. After the 10 000th guy with nails for hair, you don't see it as weird or interesting anymore, its just another tuesday.
