Maybe Kokoro died rather than Hikaru in the AU?
that is AU Reina in the last few pages of this chapter, not Kokoro.yea, i guess what i was tryna ask is who is the Kokoro we're seeing in the last few pages? the OG or the AU one?
note that, back in chaptet 27, Reina said that she thought Kokoro's spiritualness had a seal on it that was leaking slightly. What seems more likely to me is that what happened in ch 62 is the seal breaking. It is likely the case with AU Kokoro as well, who never moved to the town the gang lives in and so is still in the town she lived in when she was young. And Reina's parents being in that town on exorcist business implies they are dealing with the same event that OG verse Kokoro is dealing with. No universe swapping, just the "powers and memories sealed when they were a kid" trope. and that's a pretty common convention.I think what happened is that, OG Kokoro was attracting too many spirits and went to her grandma's, got switched with AU Kokoro there, and had been sealed by AU Reina's parents there in the AU ever since.
The one we've met all this time had been the AU Kokoro since the start (which is why she doesn't remember telling her parents about being able to see ghosts & stuff), and now the AU Kokoro started to show the same symptoms OG Kokoro had.
This would have been the go-to theory before this arc, yes, Ockham's razor and all that, but if that's the case there wouldn't be a point in introducing AU stuff in the same arc as Kokoro's seal breakingnote that, back in chaptet 27, Reina said that she thought Kokoro's spiritualness had a seal on it that was leaking slightly.
