Not entirely sold on the werewolf design. It feels a bit like a roided up badger (which should still be plenty scary, mind you) than a bipedal woof-monster.

I was hoping Ash would at least get a boss metal arm out of the deal, or a least a sweet hat. Perhaps that will come in due time.

(also, you're ten years too early to be a proper Kriegsman kid :chad:)

What a nonsensical pair of chapters. Of course a kid with an impromptu pointy stick can fend off a werewolf with metallic "fur" when several knights and city guards can barely escape alive... Even less sense it makes that George can beat it when their strategy is to hit them with freaking siege weapons: ballistas to have a chance at finishing them off. Not that hitting a quickly moving target with a ballista makes any sense to begin with though...

Since the last release, I can’t wait for the next chapter so I spoiled myself with the light novel.

In the novel
the boy encountered a lone werewolf outside of the city wall and solo it himself for the majority of it. Sir George came to his rescue and a balista finished the job

if you’re curious, it’s around latter parts of volume 2 to early parts of volume 3. What happened and sequences are kinda of different, bet that you can still read manga as its own iteration.

tbf the guards have been there for a long time, since the time of ash evacuating the people up to him coming back to the scene, and ash's confrontation was only a short time

I thought it looked more like a metal boar.

Wow. Some serious Deja vu this chapter, as if this wasn’t the first time mc solo d a monster several times his size to Save people and walked away with a massive arm wound that put him into a weeklong coma
