What a nonsensical pair of chapters. Of course a kid with an impromptu pointy stick can fend off a werewolf with metallic "fur" when several knights and city guards can barely escape alive...

To be fair to the story, the kid was seconds away from becoming twins with Vemon Snake. If George hadn't appeared he would have probably died, or at least lost the arm.

Also it wasn't a pointy stick but the top half of a spear that he jammed in the soft mouth of the beast at the cost of his arm.

And the jaw strength of a wolf or even a bear is INSANE for a 12 y/o shoulder to handle. Should’ve shattered the bone. Much less actually killed by a spear through its ‘metallic fur’…
Giving MC some power would be more believable than this shit. Author should’ve stuck with what they’re good at: slow burning village development, per the title.
