in that specific instance Ash said 玩具/おもちゃ/toy, I thought about using the word model or miniature but in context he's not going into much detail when speaking to Quid, who assumes he's making something like a boomerang; so I stuck w/ the literal interpretation
Hey there. I noticed that you took off your ch 4 of Magus of the library down. Do you plan on translating Magus of the library or have you dropped it due to copyright issues?

I accidentally broke one of the site's rules and ch 4 had to be taken down; but since the official chapters 1-34 are already out elsewhere, I decided to jump straight to ch 35 and I'm almost finished with writing the translated script!

But I'm somewhat hesitant to upload just the one chapter because it ends on a cliffhanger, so maybe I'll postpone it until 35 & 36 are done, or at least until I get a head start on 36 before uploading 35, as I have a sinking feeling that each new chapter would take over a week to scanslate w/ my current schedule

So many people quoting my post. :D
I don't disagree with most of what you guys are saying, however, they do say "toy", so... It implies there's no engine, nothing aside from basically a wooden plane you have to throw and which might glide a bit.
The first plane that shows flight was in fact possible, was big enough for people to fit in, and had a bike has an "engine". Nowhere near "toy" levels.
There is absolutely no implication that a 'toy' means lack of 'engine' and no ability to fly.

Ever heard of RC planes (or drones for that matter)? I'm sure you did.

A 'toy' describes only a purpose. Toy is something you play with. But there are for example scientific toys (that you learn with), like right-proper, miniature science labs. Cars are also called 'toys' by people that just have fun driving for the experience. And so are guns for those that just like shooting cans, for example.

In other words, if the above is your argument, then it's simply a case of you misusing the word and your argument was flawed to begin with.
