this manga really is a 10/10. I typically hate slow burns but this manga proves if it’s done really well, it can be enjoyable. Well written characters and a focus that really makes you bought in.
I think it's cause it feels sincere and natural. Doesn't feel like it's artificially being extended by a two-bit mangaka or editor

This is so peak, thank you for translating! I got the first two volumes yesterday, I can tell this will become a classic I go back to over and over with how adorable these two are.

damn you, I was about to go to sleep
now I'm riding a sugar high...

the sequence about Shunpei thinking he'd lost An was really good. It may have just been a few panels, but the angles and bubbles really sell it

This is peak.

The pacing. The quiet beats between dialogue. The paneling where you know he's only focused on her. The fact that we don't see any of An's inner thoughts about the whole situation.

If this was an anime I'd want this to scene to have little or no background music at all, just the fading out of the crowd and the fireworks because this moment is just for them.

We're merely eavesdroppers just beyond the oxygen zone because holy hell is this peak.

Every end-of-volume chapters with their critical hit for the readers of this peak manga.

This chapter really reminds me to ch 11 where it ends with Shunpei's monologue which was filled with some feelings of longing.

P.S. Is Yuusei wearing a HANSHIN TIGERS CAP?!
