Thanks for the translation! Too bad Amazon blocks purchases from outside Japan, otherwise I would've already bought a volume.
huh, 3000 seems like a lot for a rural town.
We're talking about a population of over 100 million people in a small territory covered by mountains. So for Japan, a city with 3k inhabitants must be really small.

Bookwalker doesn't and you could use a vpn to purchase from amazon. Or try one of the other etailers, or a proxy buying company.

I can't even consider buying this. Amazon.com refuses to show japanese products, and amazon.co.jp adds TEN TIMES the price of a volume as delivery fee.
Supposedly manga-republic is an alternative, but you have to pay with paypal? I don't want to have an account on that thing.

Wished to have some japanese editions to try reading, but it seems better to give up and hope for a local edition.

For people looking to support the authors, what I do is to use a proxy shipping service (tenso in my case) that offers order consolidation. I still end up paying a lot for shipping, but it's not as bad because I order a lot of stuff from Japan anyway and it lets me combine it all into single shipments with less shipping overhead. Instead of paying $40 to ship one book, I might pay $50-60 to ship several books, random kuji draws, and merch/figures from mercari or whatever.

I don't have a spending problem. :worry:

Personally, almost all of my ebook purchases have been via Comic Seymour (ex. here) specifically because they allowed paypal GUEST checkout which allows you to process an int'l credit card without account creation... but I assume this applies to any paypal-friendly vendor. Anyway, it's super easy!

The number of JP ebooks I can get for the price of a single big-city US weekday lunch is... uh, humbling. Especially on sale.

If you're having trouble, let me know and I'll make you a screenshot turtorial on how to purchase (and archive if you ask real nice) volumes.
Wait why am I having weird deja vu about the Someone Hertz author doing a guest illustration?
