For context, 子 (-ko) is a popular diminutive suffix in Japanese, which also means "child" and "little one". It is often used in female given names.
And, of course, just having a nickname reserved only for your significant other is "spicy" as well, as Imaginary Ryouga has put it on page 9/17.
