How can they assumed it's locked without touching the knob? 🤣

Oof, that awkward moment when there was no problem at all lol. I also found it funny how they were both sprawled out in the morning and senpai put her hand over the other one while asleep.

Also pretty cool that author made music video with the characters in it.

Thanks for translating the chapter.

That was a pretty chill song, didn't expect to find someone multi-talented as the author.
Chapter was also very nice and comfy.... I remember reading about the umaibo recently but I can't remember which manga was it!

Thank you!

¥400,000? An American locksmith would charge perhaps US$200. A change-of-lock would be unnecessary unless the lock had to be destroyed; the landlord would be a source of a new key, so the lock only has to be opened for now. If the lock indeed had to be ruined, that's still less than another US$100.

@Oeconomist While Japan is generally a safer place than the US crime-wise, they do have some really strict laws about residential safety and security. A lock busted open by a locksmith, even if it isn't damaged in the process, must be replaced simply because a locksmith already busted it open. The landlord of a reputable building would also need to register the change of the lock with the local ward office and pay the administrative fees (which are usually just a few bucks). The locksmith would also need to report his work to the local authorities (usually the cops) to make sure all is legit. This is also why a lot of Japanese landlords get really pissed off if a resident added new locks without telling them, because they have to register the modifications with the authorities just in case emergency services or the police need access to the residence. I learned this from experience using AirBnB in Japan before Japan released new laws against them. The landlord in my case was an Australian guy and he gave special instructions telling us not to mess with the complex multilock system he had installed. Basically, we can use the normal residence lock but must keep the multilock off and disengaged despite it being present on the door, because he didn't want the liability.

This is so much fun. Casual, very comforting. I think this is what Asano Inio wanted to make of Dedede, but Futari Escape is so much better in this regard.
I will be waiting eagerly for new chapters, hope it won’t end too soon.

Are 100 yen sleeping bags a real thing? Damn, it must be so easy to be homeless is Japan.
