The art resembled hanazono kun to kozoe san and the way the two characters interacted gave the same vibe too. Again, there's a possibility that the author is using a new pen name or there's some other changes.

I knew I wasn't going crazy. I was like the artstyle reminded me so much of Hanazono to Kozeo but the author's name was initially listed different so it was driving me insane.
