The word “popliteal” is really just an adjective, the adjectival form of “popliteus”, which refers to a muscle back there. You don't want to use “popliteal” as the translator has.
@Skiepher The MC of Nekogurui Minako-san. Imagine a manga about someone behaving like Mikage on page 7, but with cats instead of a girlfriend, and a lot more ahegao.
Translator, you made an error. When Mikage is talking about being wall slammed, the correct Japanese phrase is "Kabe-Down" as invented by Miyuki Shirogane, the famous master of love.
@Oeconomist this is bullshit i just checked and NONE of the languages i speak have a noun for the hollow behind the knee even though its like the 5th or 6th most erotic part of the human body. The guys who invented english and spanish must really be kicking themselves for that screwup
Hahahahaha! Well, you can try using “popliteal fossa” in your erotic writing. Maybe a classics major or a med student will be aroused. Or perhaps a “loan” word from the East will do. A Chinese and Japanese term for that hollow is “膝窩”, which is transliterated as “xī wō” from Chinese and as “shikka” from Japanese. I would guess that the latter were, in the case of this story, what were mistakenly translated as “popliteal”.
@stray_dog_
This may be a half-year old comment, but the German language has the word "Kniekehle" to describe it.
It translates to something like "knee throat".
