Wouldn’t it be nice if Gen had to swing over to “the rescue” if something goes wrong? I guess the odds of them being at campsites nearby is slim tho

For some reason his food reminded me of prison style ramen and tamales where you crush up a bunch of corn chips and add it to the ramen. You end up getting a hot slab of salty corn and noodles and it's not as bad as it sounds.

Thank you for the chapter!

This manga should be sponsored by the Stanley cup or some camping gear, it truly shows the best use of the equipment. :)

Awesome, Shin Ramen.

I do think Poguri is supposed to be a parody name of a different Korean ramen brand, Neoguri.
Thought the same, but it turns out that ppogeuri is the military-style method of preparation described in the chapter.

That bag cooking idea is cool and all, but I don't know how much more micro plastics my balls can take

thanks for the chapter!

Actually, it's just a Romanization of the word 뽀그리, which is a word that was made up to mean ramen cooking method where you just cook the ramen inside the bag. They probably called it military ramen, because it's an easy way to cook ramen in the military when you don't have a pot or bowl, you just pour hot water directly into the bag. Honestly though, it's one of the worse ways to cook ramen as the water will lose its heat quickly and the noodles will slow down cooking part way and the texture isn't as uniformly cooked compared to consistent boiling water or microwaving. But when you don't have bowls or pots, it'll make do. This is why cup ramen usually are much thinner noodles, that way the cooking happens fast before the water cools down and it cooks through properly.

I love that brand of instant ramen! Spicy and tasty but not too hot. Not like Buldak that is hot only for the sake of being hot.
Buldak isn't just hot for the sake of hot, the flavor is actually pretty good and you can get a chicken base flavor from it with spiciness. If you watch a lot of videos of people trying it, many of them say that it's not just spicy without flavor. The reason why people like it is because the flavor is actually fairly good too along with the spiciness. If you feel like it's just hot for the sake of hot, that probably means your spice/heat tolerance is just very low that you feel the spiciness just overwhelms all the flavor.

It is cheap if you already have the equipment. All he has to do is pay for the camping site, the food he brings, and the transportation he takes (whether that be bus/train fare, or gas for the vehicle he drives or rides). And camping site fees aren't expensive for tent camping.
