I find it ridiculous how many dumbasses are shitting on this arc and wanting it to be over, god forbid we have a bit of complexity in stories.
Its amazing how the author manages to balance out so many characters, each with their own stories and motivations, while also providing top tier fanservice and yet brainlets will still find a reason to complain. Its beyond me how they stumbled on this series when they clearly can't read anything longer than a post-it note.
I prefer the comedy/slice of life stuff too, but even if I don't care if there was not an action scene ever again - I'm continually impressed by the writer's self-control, the balance he tries to maintain, and the thought and caution he puts into giving characters abilities and their limitations for those abilities - and the overall flow/direction of fights.
Very little "GRR! I AM DBZ GOD WITH MORE MANA, THEREFORE I WIN MONSTER!" outside of the minor fights or joke fights.
It is fair to me that the ACTUAL GODS and Named/Mutant Monsters can be bluntly overwhelming in many aspects to force protagonist characters to use tactics/strategy.
That said, I'm not a fan of what happens to Kikuru in the upcoming chapters and wish he used Hitamuki or True instead, but I figure we had to cross this bridge soon enough...
But I have faith in this writer it won't go into a boring direction that ruins the dynamic of the team slowly growing into their specialties and begrudgingly becoming useful even if by accident.
